“In bed,” Dylan added with a dirty grin.

A shiver rippled through me, not from the cold, but from anticipation.Lurid images of us naked, thrusting and writhing, danced in my head as we slowly plodded over the sand.Growing more impatient by the second, I flashed them a playful smile.

“Race you,” I challenged before sprinting toward the house.

“Minx!”Dylan roared with a laugh.

As they gave chase, I glanced over my shoulder.Dylan’s sexy dimple and Nick’s dark hair flowing in the wind made it hard to breathe.Their soul-stealing beauty had me turning around and running back toward them.As they sprinted toward me, I threw out my arms in surrender. But instead of slowing and wrapping me in their glorious embrace, they ran right past me and started laughing like a couple of loons.

Scoffing in disappointment, I watched them and quickly realized they weren’t racing me…they were competing against each other.

“Hey!A hug would have been nice,” I yelled, then rolled my eyes and raced after them.

Nick was the first to slap a palm on the banister of the deck.Coming up behind them, I slowed and watched Dylan shove him away, declaring himself the winner.

A mischievous glint skipped across Nick’s eyes as he crouched down and charged, driving his shoulder into Dylan’s ribs. They both tumbled to the grass with a grunt.

Nick sprang to his feet and gripped the railing again with a triumphant grin.“Who’s the winner now?”

“Kiss my ass, fucker,” Dylan laughed, brushing the grass off his jacket.

My big bad Doms acted like a couple of six year olds, and all I could do was laugh.

Two weeks later, I helped Rachel prepare a Thanksgiving feast of biblical proportions.Standing at the counter, mashing the potatoes, I thought about the previous Thanksgiving.Mellie and I had fixed a traditional holiday meal in the tiny kitchen of my apartment. My heart ached.I missed her. This was the first Thanksgiving we’d spent apart. She promised to try to visit over Christmas, but Enrique—who, surprisingly, was still herflavor of the month—wanted to spend it with his family in South America.

When the doorbell rang, Rachel shooed me out of the kitchen to go playhostess.

Unable to shake my melancholy from missing Mellie, I was quiet through most of the dinner.Thankfully, Trevor’s gregarious nature and never-ending energy and stories took the focus off me.Dylan and Nick didn’t seem to notice my reserved demeanor.

It was easy to see why Trevor and Emerald were such close friends. They shared the same glass-half-full attitude.I was glad we were becoming good friends.I’d never really had a best friend growing up.

While everyone continued talking and eating, my thoughts skipped like a flat rock across a pond.Frustrated for not being able to engage with my new friends gathered at the table, I searched for the crux of my reticent mood.

It didn’t take long to find it as my conversation with Tony, yesterday after the submissive group meeting, plowed through my head.

After confessing my fear of being naked in public, and my Masters’ goal to erase those fears, Emerald had excused herself. After a brief conversation with Dylan and Nick, she headed toward the bathroom. When the meeting was over, Sir Tony, the dungeon monitor I’d yelled at during my epic freak-out, strolled up and sat at the table with me, Emerald, and Trevor.

“Hello again, Savannah.”he smiled.“Emerald has asked me to join her after the meeting was over.I’m not sure if I’m here in Dominant capacity or a professional one.”

“Oh, sorry, Sir.Professional, if you don’t mind,” Emerald replied. With a nervous smile, she clasped my hand beneath the table.“Sir Tony is a psychologist.I thought maybe he could help shed some light on your fear of being naked in public.”

My mouth suddenly went dry, and my heart raced.I darted an anxious glance to my Masters, still seated at the bar.Dylan winked and Nick smiled before they both nodded, giving me permission to spill my guts.

Great.

“Do you mind me asking some questions?”Tony arched his brows.

“No, Sir,” I lied.

“After your parents died, did you start actively looking for men to date?”

How did he know my parents were dead?

Clearly, Emerald wasn’t the only one who’d been talking to Tony.Nick and Dylan had undoubtedly been twisting his ear, too.

Traitors!

“No, Sir.I…”
