“Good girl,” Nick whispered.

As the two magical words tossed my jumbled emotions to the four corners of the world, I bit back my sobs as they worked together and clasped the delicate chain around my neck.

“Oh, Masters…I love you.I love you both so much,” I whispered, strumming my fingertips over the hearts.

“Who’s ready for Christmas pizza?”Trevor blurted, wiping away his own tears.

“Christmas what?”I choked out a watery laugh.

“Pizza.”Dylan smirked.“We kick Rachel out of the kitchen on Christmas, and though Nick and I could cook, we don’t want to.Not on Christmas. So, every year, we eat pizza.”

“They’re heathens,” Sammie drawled, rolling her eyes.“But I humor them. After all, theyaremen.”

“You could cook for us,” Mika countered her insult.

“Oh, for shit’s sake. You know I can’t boil water.I’d burn down the whole kitchen.”She laughed.

Drying my cheeks, I stared at the triple hearts nestled between my breasts.

The doorbell rang again before the room turned eerily silent.

“I’ll get it,” Dylan volunteered, launching off the couch.

A look of panic careened over Mika’s face.“Who else is coming?”

“Not who…what,” Nick cryptically replied.

“What’s going on?”I quietly asked him.

“You’ll see.Patience.”He smirked.

All eyes turned, expectantly watching the doorway. We didn’t have to wait long before Dylan reappeared carrying an envelope and biting back a grin.

“It’s for you, Savannah.”

“Me?”I blinked, rising to my feet.I lifted the envelope from his hand. There was no return address on it, simply a label with my name.“What is this?Who’s it from?”

“Open it and find out.”Nick smiled as he and Dylan cinched an arm around my waist.

Ripping the paper open, I pulled out a note.As I flipped it open, I instantly recognized my boss, Myron’s, handwriting. As I began to read, my heart lodged in my throat.

My dearest Savannah,

Words can’t describe how thrilled Helen and I are that you have found two young men to fill your life with love. While it’s outside the conventional ways, I applaud you for giving your heart to both these, caring, compassionate, and upstanding young men.All I have ever wanted for you, dear, is to find the kind of love that Helen and I have been lucky enough to share all these years.

After talking to your young men and Mellie, Helen and I nearly jumped for joy. Both Dylan and Nick sang your praises for hours, then explained their hearts and lives would be broken if you had to leave Chicago.Since you hadn’t told me a thing about them, I placed a call to Mellie. After she confirmed you’d fallen fast and hard, Helen and I sat down and talked. We knew it was time to finalize the dreams we’d been putting on hold.

That leads me to the reason for this letter. We want you to stay in Chicago and build a life of love and happiness with Dylan and Nick.Believe it or not, I’m finally going to retire.I’ve been putting off the decision, because frankly, I couldn’t find it in my heart to close the company and leave you unemployed. You’re like a daughter to us, Savannah.

Dylan and Nick assured me they’d help you find a new job in Chicago, and support you a hundred and ten percent if you wanted to keep working.Their reassurance, and Helen pestering me for years to travel abroad while we still can, prompted me to make my decision.

I will miss you, sweetheart, but I know the new life you’re about to start living is the stuff story books are made of.I do have one condition that’s non-negotiable.We expect an invitation to your wedding.

If you ever need anything… anything at all, we’re simply a phone call away.

Best wishes to you three.May your life be filled with as much magic and happiness as Helen and I have shared.

All our love,
