I lowered my eyes and nodded.
“That’s nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about, little one.When we get back, we’ll be more than happy to sate your curiosity.But your inspection will need to be quick.They won’t stay soft for long with you touching them.”Nick grinned.
“I’ll do my best, Sir,” I chuckled.
“You have our permission to say in bed, soak in the tub, or curl up on the couch by the fire,” Dylan instructed.“I’ll throw some more logs on before we head up to the house.”
“Thank you, Sir.”
Emotions and endorphins still pinged through my system so wildly, I opted to stay in bed and wallow in the sex-stained sheets.Hugging their pillows to my chest, I breathed in Nick and Dylan’s distinct, intoxicating scents.And when I closed my eyes, it was as if they’d never left.As I stretched out in the center of the bed, muscles I never knew existed decadently throbbed.And as a satisfied smile curled my lips, I closed my eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
“Savannah.Savannah, honey?”Kit called, pulling me from the darkness.
Blinking the fog of sleep from my brain, I sat up with a gasp.
Kit stood at the side of my bed, and I was naked.
Gripping the covers tightly to my chin, my heart thundered in my chest as I glanced at the empty spaces beside me.It took a hot minute to remember they’d gone out to help her shovel snow.Grateful I didn’t have to explain why I was naked in bed with them, I forced a smile.
“Is everything all right?”I asked.
“That’s what I came to ask you,” she chuckled.“The guys are still digging out the sidewalk.Bless their hearts, they’ve already cleaned off the porch.I came to see how you were feeling after the accident.”
“Oh, I’m fine.I was a little sore the next day, but I’m good now.”
“Oh good.Are the boys behaving themselves?”she asked with a tilt of her head.
“Yes, they’ve been perfect gentlemen.”I nodded, struggling not to laugh.
“I’m glad.When they carried you in the day of the accident, I told them not to behave like a couple of rabid wolves around you.”She winked.“So, you’re really doing okay?You’re not sore or anything?”
“No.Not at all.”
Liar.
“Thank goodness.Is there anything you need?”
“Not that I can think of.”I smiled.
Nothing butDylan and Nick naked in bed with me again.
“All right.I’ll let you rest.If you think of something you need, send one of those Neanderthals up to the house to fetch it for you.”
I laughed.“I will, Kit.Thanks so much for checking in on me.”
“It’s the least I can do.I’m so sorry Mellie didn’t make it.I know this vacation didn’t turn out like you planned.”
Oh, if you only knew.
“It’s okay.Just knowing Mellie is safe and sound is all that matters.”
“That’s right.Get some rest, honey.I’ll come check on you again from time to time.”
“No,” I blurted, then quickly flashed a big smile.“I mean, you don’t need to take time away from your other guests at the house to brave the cold and come see me.I’m not doing anything but lazing around all day, relaxing.But if I do need anything, you’ll be the first to know.”
“Uh-huh.”Kit issued a look of skepticism then smiled.“You mean you’ll send Dylan or Nick to get it for you, right?”
“Yes.That’s what I meant.Thank you.”
