“That’s true, but I think you’re going to do great. We’ve been working really hard and your knee is handling it all well. Jesse even said your ligament looks good as new on the MRI. It’s always scary going back after an injury, but you’ll feel better once you’re through the first game.”

“And if I don’t?”

“Then I’ll be there to kiss you and make you feel better.” I grin.

“Your kissesdomake me feel better. So does having your naked body pressed against mine.” He slips his hands under my shirt and slowly pushes it higher and higher.

“Well, then I better get started making you feel better tonight. I wouldn’t want you to head to the stadium in the morning and not feel better.” I drop my hands from around his neck and move my fingers to his towel.

“I might need another dose before the game.” He smiles against my lips.

“Maybe a double dose would be better.” I giggle when he lifts me into the air and throws me over his shoulder.

“I like the way you think, Mrs. Everson.”

“I’m not Mrs. Everson yet.”

“Yeah, but I'm counting down the days and testing out the name. That day can't come soon enough.”
