I laugh and kiss her again.

Lucy narrows her eyes at me. “We can decide what to do when you get back.”

“Okay. Whatever you want to do, Aurora, we’ll do it. Anything you want.” I close the door behind me when I leave, then storm down the hallway to Ty’s room first.

I don’t want to believe it, but I know they’re behind this. And I have no idea what this will mean.

If I can’t trust them not to try to ruin me, how can I remain in the band?

God, just please don’t let Lucy find out about this.

Lucy

“I want to go play, Mommy.” She’s been looking out the window at the playground since shortly after Apollo left.

I’ve been trying to keep her entertained, but there is only so much we can do in this room without any toys.

I sigh. “I’ll leave a note to daddy so he knows where we are and doesn’t worry.”

Just as I’m about to walk out of the hotel room, my cell rings and I answer. “Hey, Lani girl.”

“Hey, Luce. I’m out and about and wondering what my two favorite ladies are doing this fine morning.”

“Well, we’re at Apollo’s hotel. We’re about to go down to the playground if you’d like to meet us there.”

“Send me your location.”

Happy to get to spend some time with my bestie, I do as she asks and then head down to the lobby and out to the playground.

Even though it’s relatively early, there are still people out with their kids, and Aurora finds another little girl to play with.

I take a seat on a park bench.

A few minutes later, Lani is coming my way.

“Wow. You made it in record time.”

“I was just a few blocks away, getting a bagel. You girls ate already, I assume.” She takes a seat next to me, then pulls out the bagel.

“We did. Fresh fruit right there in the room. His suite is nicer and even bigger than my apartment. To be honest, this is a life I could get used to.”

“So, you and Apollo are hitting it off?” She takes a bite of her breakfast.

“You could say that.” I smile as I think about how well we got along last night and this morning, I wonder if we could possibly get along any better.

“Your smile says it all, Luce.” Smashing her shoulder to mine, she laughs. “Is it as good as it used to be?”

Shaking my head, I can’t lie. “It’s so much better. Like, I didn’t know it could be this good. It’s like a dream, really.”

I wonder if he feels the same. With all the practice he had and so many women… God, does he find me lacking somehow?

It’s not like I’ve ever been with anyone but him.

Oh God, he must find me so boring now… What if—

“There’s some dude with a giant camera heading this way.” Lani’s eyes are focused on something over my shoulder.
