I shake my head and blink a few times. Lust coats my body like a thick sweater, and I’m probably dehydrated. That’s all.

He slants a glare to the side. “I don't give a fuck where we are, no one and nothing is gonna stop me from tasting my girl.”

My cheeks heat with his insinuation. The way he said tastes made me think of something else entirely. The air around us heats up, or maybe that’s just me. I press my back into the wall, a weak attempt at putting space between us again.

“I was worried, Maddie.” His words are low, meant for my ears only. “I never should’ve left you.”

“It’s fine—”

“It’s not, and I won’t make that mistake again.” His thumb brushes over my thundering pulse.

Matteo and Aries are right, this isn't the time or the place, but it's like the moment any of them put their hands—or lips—on me, I'm helpless to stop them.

The fact is, I don't want to stop them. And with each moment that gets cut short or slips away from us, the need to stake my own claim on them rises higher and higher like an impending wave. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit giddy to see what happens when that wave crests.

But we do have places to be, a plane to catch, and a boyfriend to find.

Dante leans his forehead against mine and slides his thumb along my jaw, tipping my face toward his. “Never again, Maddie.” He brushes his mouth along mine twice, before sealing his promise with a kiss at the corner of my mouth.

Something warm and gooey settles in around my heart, and all I can do is offer a couple small nods in response. Dante takes two steps back, the move slow and almost calculated, and his expression loses some of the softness from just a moment ago.

He looks at Aries and then Matteo without saying a word, lips flat and eyes narrowed, holding their gazes for a second. “Never again, Matteo.”

Matteo’s jaw clenches as he dips his head in acknowledgement of whatever is happening between them. It seems like something far more than the three words Dante uttered. Aries tips his chin up but otherwise doesn’t offer any reaction.

I watch the exchange between the three of them with parted lips, relying on the wall behind me to steady my legs. I’m missing something, but despite the urge to uncover their secrets, I don’t think I have the energy to dig deeper right now.

“If we’re done here, we have a plane to catch,” Aries says, tipping his head toward the nearest gate.

I push off the wall and stand between the three of them, acutely missing the fourth point in our unconventional relationship.
