Frank’s expression softens, and his eyes fill with regret. “I didn’t want to burden you with the weight of some family history,” he says. “But now that we have our son, I think you deserve to know the truth.”

In a way, I understand his point. It’s a lot to process, but knowing the truth about my family’s past makes me feel closer to Frank, like we’re bound together by more than just love.

“And now?” I ask, my voice hesitant as I wait for his response.

“Now,” Frank says, his voice filled with conviction, “you are the mother of what we call a pure blood in the Mafia. A child born from Mafia heritage on both sides, Lisa.”

I hold my breath, feeling pride as much as fear of the unknown.

“I’m a bit scared,” I confess.

“Honey, there’s nothing to be scared of. From now on, we move forward together. We embrace our family history and heritage and build a future for ourselves and our son.”

I smile, feeling a sense of relief wash over me at his words. “I want to give you all the children you desire,” I say, my voice filled with determination. “I want our family to be strong. I want us to be proud of who we are and where we come from.”

Frank’s eyes light up and a smile spreads across his face. He leans in to kiss my lips tenderly. “I will love and cherish all the children you give me,” he says. “You are my heart, Lisa, and our children will be my soul. Neither of which I can ever live without.”

As we sit together, surrounded by love and happiness, I know we have found our happily ever after. With Frank by my side, there’s nothing we can’t overcome, no challenge too great for us to face together. And as I look down at our son, sleeping peacefully in my arms, I can’t help but smile. This is the family I dreamed of.

The End
