“How much I love you.” I smiled up at him, cheekily.

He twirled me slowly. “How much?”

“New York’s not big enough to hold it.”

“No?”

I shook my head. “My love’s basically infinite.”

“Is that so?”

“It’s a big, fat love. The biggest there is, actually.”

My love for Hale crossed state lines and oceans. It delved into the deepest parts of the sea and soared far beyond the clouds. I loved this man more than I ever imagined possible.

And he loved me the same. He didn’t need me to be smaller, prettier, or quieter. He only needed me to be myself. Because he loved every imperfect part of me.

And that was pretty freaking special.

Gasps broke out as the guests rushed to the windows, staring over the panoramic views. “What’s going on?”

“Come on.” He took my hand and we cut through the crowd. Fireworks burst over Central Park in a spectacular display.

“Did you do this?”

“I did. Do you like it?”

I smiled, staring through our reflection in the glass. “It’s perfect.”

“Everything about today has been perfect. I knew it would be.” His fingers tightened around mine.

“There’s only one thing left, Mr. Davenport.”

“What’s that, Mrs. Davenport?”

“The honeymoon.”

He chuckled and glanced down at me, nothing but promise swirling in the darkening depths of his gunmetal eyes. “You’re going to be a sore pup, Mrs. Davenport.”

“I’m counting on it, Mr. Davenport.”

THE END
