Hawk elbowed him. Hard. “I meant the way we’ll cherish you.”

“Yeah, that,” Cannon agreed as if he hadn’t been in full horny guy mode a second ago.

“You already make me feel special. Every day.”

Hawk cupped her face then slid his hand back to the nape of her neck angling her, and for the first time ever, his lips covered hers. Fireworks exploded through her head. She groaned, arching closer. As she sank into the kiss, she felt rather than saw Cannon straddle Hawk’s legs, so he could move in closer to her from the other direction.

While Hawk pressed open her lips, drawing her moans, and sank his tongue into her mouth, Cannon kissed her shoulders and neck. Both men glided their hands along her arms and neck. It overwhelmed her and exhilarated her senses, unlocking needs she’d kept locked away. Needs they’d own and fill.

Music rang through her senses, though it wasn’t the angelic chorus she would have envisioned for the moment. Her brow furrowed, and then she realized it was Red Solo Cup blasting through the air. A giggle erupted from her, and she dropped her face into Hawk’s shoulder as she laughed.

“Fuck, that’s my alarm,” he muttered. “Damn cock blocker.”

Dev didn’t move her head on his shoulder while he reached to shut off the obnoxious alarm. When she felt Cannon start to move away, though, she grasped for him.

“You didn’t get your kiss.”

His knuckles grazed her cheek. “It’s okay, sweetness. Pretty soon, I’m gonna be kissing you so much you’ll be sick of me.”

“I doubt that. I’d never be tired of it.”

“Okay, then…” He stood. Clasping her waist, he brought her to him. Her arms and legs instinctively wrapped around him as he planted his lips against hers, plundering her mouth with the intent of discovering every tiny little bit of it. Her fingers buried in his hair, and she moaned into the kiss.

God, she wanted them both. Right now. How had she waited so long? If she’d know it would be like this…

All too soon, he set her on her feet. She swayed unsteadily, her fingers curling on his arms while she stared up at him, breathing unsteadily.

So this was how it would be? Despite her old reservations, Dev knew this was everything she wanted. Cannon and Hawk were everything she’d ever dreamed of having. There was no going back. She just had to figure out how they could make a relationship happen and still be safe.

Nine

Today, it had been difficult for Dev to maintain her persona as Devon Magnus, detached hipster guy. All day, she’d floated on a cloud, her mind constantly on Cannon and Hawk. After the togetherness with them that morning, the three of them had taken care of the horses and done morning chores. Then Dev had needed to leave for her shift at Leena’s—her one early shift of the week.

There had been more kisses before they’d all left home, though.

Home… She loved that they’d built a home together. Even without last night and this morning, she couldn’t imagine living without them now. She hoped she wouldn’t ever have to make that choice. She’d grown accustomed to them being near her.

Thursdays, however, they weren’t here, since she worked the day shift. It was the only time she was anywhere without her guys. But she wasn’t unprotected. Since they’d been brought into the know, Leena’s husbands took on the bodyguard job whenever she had to work while Hawk and Cannon reported to the Last Chance operation to do whatever ranch stuff they did. She honestly didn’t know exactly what tasks they were assigned over there, since she didn’t have cows or sheep or sell hay.

“You’re different,” Leena said, pulling Dev from her thoughts while they straightened the extra condiments, straws, and napkins beneath the front counter.

Of course, her boss would see the change in her right away. Leena seemed to perceive things about just about anyone who stepped into her diner. It was practically supernatural, but Dev knew the woman was just excellent at reading people—even strangers.

Dev smoothed a hand over her hair. “I’m not.”

Leena narrowed her eyes. “You are…”

“Wait!” She snapped her fingers then shook her pink-tipped pointer at Dev. “Those guys finally made a move, didn’t they?”

A blush burned into Dev’s face, and her whole body felt flushed. “Sort of.”

“Sort of? I would have thought those two were better than sort of.”

“Stop it.” A nervous giggle accompanied Dev’s groan, and she looked around to be sure no one had heard her sound like a giddy schoolgirl. “They’re just fine.”

“I’m guessing so. You’re glowing. Not at all the contained and reserved Devon I know.” Leena nodded. “I like it. Looks good on you.”

That brought down Dev’s mood, grounding her back to reality. Shoot. Did she want to be caught, and on the day she’d finally confessed to having feelings for her overbearing cowboys, no less?
