His brow furrowed as he looked up at her, but he listened and climbed up over her, holding his weight off her with his straight arms. “What’s wrong.”

“Got to pee. Let me up.” She shoved at his shoulders, and he tumbled over to the side, jostling into Cannon, who grumbled in his sleep. Dev didn’t pay attention to them as she sprinted into the bathroom and twisted the door lock behind her.

“Baby girl, why’d you lock the door?” Hawk called.

Darn it, why did it have to click so loud. “Just peeing!”

Right, they’d buy that for a second. She already heard mumbling beyond the door. Quietly, she rifled under the counter and grabbed the box she’d stashed there. She’d already read the directions, so she quickly did her business then washed her hands, settling in to wait for the results.

Grasping the edge of the counter, she stared into the mirror at her reflection, her mind drifting back to the day in the seedy motel when she’d done the same. Hipster Devon Magnus was long gone and before her stood Devon Quidell, wife and hopefully, soon-to-be mother.

Gone were the black hair and black thick-rimmed glasses, replaced by lustrous chestnut locks that fell in soft waves to below her shoulder blades. She only wore dainty, gold-framed glasses to read now, leaving her gray eyes quite visible most of the time. In the same way, there wasn’t a day that passed where her feminine curves weren’t clear to anyone who looked.

Not that she really cared about that. Cannon and Hawk loved her in whatever form she took. But for the last five years, that role had happily been wife.

As she brushed her hair into a gleaming fall around her shoulders, her gaze caught on the twisted gold braided together on a band that circled her ring finger. Three strands twined into one circle, representing the unity of three lives.

She never could have imagined it ten years ago when she’d been so frightened. Everything had changed since then. She had a thriving business, her life was secure without the fears she used to live with, and she had friends and family, who loved her and gave her days richness that had nothing to do with wealth.

So much of her peace came from her husbands, her life with them and the symbiotic existence they’d created with each other, each bringing their own gifts to the table. She knew she couldn’t have built her training and rehabilitation facility without them, not to the degree she had, anyway. Hawk and Cannon were truly her partners, so much so that she’d insisted their names be on the business.

A knock on the door pulled her from her ruminations.

“Baby girl, you okay in there?” Hawk called from just outside the room.

“Uh-huh.” She glanced down at the stick on the edge of the counter and a wide smile curled her lips. She was more than okay.

“Sweetness, the suspense…” Cannon said, letting her know he was there, right beside their partner. Also…it seemed they might be on to her.

Picking up the stick, she hid it behind her back then swung open the door to reveal her naked—and aroused—men, side-by-side, waiting for her.

“So…are we going to be daddies?” Hawk asked.

Of course, they knew. How could she have thought she’d fool them? Grinning wide, she held up the stick in front of her chest. They weren’t at all distracted by her naked breasts while they stared.

“Yes,” Cannon crowed, pumping his fist in the air. Hawk pulled her into his arms and brushed a soft kiss on her lips, his hands splayed on her back, holding her close in a tender embrace.

“I’m so happy, baby girl.”

“Yeah?” God knew, she wanted a baby so badly, a child they’d all love with everything they had. They’d waited a long while to try, resolving to build their lives together first. Once they’d decided to try, though, she hadn’t thought the guys would manage to knock her up within a month. She should have had more faith. Especially considering how often they had sex.

“Oh, yeah.” His kiss deepened, and the test dropped from her fingers, clattering on the wood-planked floor before she wrapped her arms around him, sinking into the pleasure erupting through her. Hawk’s cock throbbed against her belly, and her core flooded in response to him.

Soon, Cannon joined them, his arms circling her and pulling her mouth to his. Hawk kissed her shoulder and neck, making his way to her ear.

“You’re going to look so fucking sexy with your belly swollen with our baby.”

Cannon moan, the sound agreeing with the assessment as his hand splayed on her still-flat belly.

“You guys are happy?” she asked, against Cannon’s lips.

“Fuck, yeah,” he agreed. “We’re growing our family.”

“The first of many babies,” Hawk said.

She laughed. “The first of a few.”

“Hmm…we’ll see.” He was always angling for a big loving family, unlike what he’d had. As an only child, she had a difficult time disagreeing. And of course, Cannon, whose family had disowned him, was completely invested in this family, too.
