She slid her hand downward and bit herlip as she touched her sensitive clit.

“Fuck, baby,” Kashgroaned, his rhythm faltering as she did something she’d never donebefore: touched herself in front of a male.

He growled and fucked her faster, andshe rubbed her clit equally fast, wanting to come when hedid.

As heat filled her and pleasurespiraled through her body, she came hard and shouted his name. Hiscock thickened inside her as he came, his hands locked hard to herhips and a howl tearing from his throat.

She gasped for breath, her nailsraking down the headboard with each shudder that wove throughher.

He pulled from her anddropped to the bed next to her, pulling her close and kissing her.“Sweet Bella, that was amazing.”

She turned fully to snuggle againsthim, putting her head on his chest so she could hear the sound ofhis racing heart. Hers was pounding too.

“I think it’s supposed tobe that way with truemates.”

“I think sotoo.”

He tilted her face and kissed her.“I’m so glad I found you.”

She smiled and put her head back onhis chest. She and her wolf were very happy.

She’d come to Allen to try a change ofscenery and had found her truemate.

What were theodds?

“A million to one,” Kashsaid.

She went up on her elbow and looked athim. “What?”

“You asked what were theodds that we found each other, and I said a million to one. Hell, maybe a billion to one.” He put his free hand behind his head andgave her a devastating smile.

“I didn’t realize I saidthat out loud,” she said with a laugh. “I was just thinking that Icame to town for a change of pace and got a whole newlife.”

“Me too. This was the bestfull moon of my life, Bella. When we’re ready to mark and mate eachfully, that’ll be the second-best day of my life.”

“You’re sweet,Kash.”

“Just for you,mate.”

Chapter Nine

The following morning, Kash woke upwith Bella asleep on his chest. There wasn’t much sunlight pokingaround the edges of the blinds, and a quick check of the weather onhis phone told him it would be a cloudy day.

Good thing he didn’t have anythingplanned but getting to know his mate.

After they made love, they’d talked until dawn, when they’d both fallen asleep tangledtogether. She was sweet and funny, and loved her family and packeven though she’d felt like an outsider for such a long time. Hewondered how things would go with her parents when she spoke tothem today.

And he also wondered if he knew thefull story of what had happened between Alpha Jason and her UncleChris.

Even if it had happenedmore than two decades earlier, it didn’t change the fact that therewere clearly some old wounds that her family still held onto. Thedeath of a family member would certainly be reason enough forhating another pack member.

He wouldn’t have mindedjoining her pack, but since he wouldn’t be welcome there as a faemale, she’d have to join his. He knew some packs could beexclusionary to non-wolves. The Tressel Pack wasn’t that way, though. Non-wolf mates, whether they were human, another type ofshifter, or a supernatural creature, were brought into the pack ashonorary members and treated with respect. That her pack didn’tmake space for non-wolves was sucky.

Hopefully her parentswouldn’t disown her because of him.

He sent a quick text to hisparents.

I found my truemate lastnight. The spell worked like a charm.
