As the couple exchangedrings, Remy thought about the future. Where the hell was he goingto go? He’d agreed to stay the night at his parents’ to visit, plushe really missed his siblings so he wanted to spend time with them, but something was clawing at him and he couldn’t really decide whatit was.

Clapping with the pack as Bella andKash kissed and Chris announced them as officially mated andmarried, Remy wove through the crowd and stepped in line to greethis friend and his new mate.

When he reached the couple, Kashhugged him. “I’m so glad you could make it. This is my sweetheart,Bella.”

Remy nodded at her with asmile. “It’s nice to meet you.”

“You’re the elusive Remy, huh? Thank you for coming into town.”

“Elusive?” he asked with alaugh. “I don’t know about that.”

“Come on, you’re the firstof us to go off on his own to look for something different. It’spretty damn cool,” Kash said. “It worked for Bella, youknow.”

“What do youmean?”

“She came to Allen lastmonth to look for something different and we found eachother.”

Remy hummed. “That’s very cool.Congrats, you guys.”

“You’re stickingaround?”

“I’m going to hunt withLennox and my dad, then stay at my folks’ for the night. I’ll begone in the morning.”

“Ah, well, we’re headingout to our honeymoon after the hunt. Keep in touch, yeah? And safetravels.”

“You bet. Same toyou.”

Remy made his way throughthe pack to his family, then followed his dad and brother into thewoods to shift. It felt good to stretch his paws out in thefamiliar dirt of the Tressel Pack territory. He hadn’t realized howmuch he missed it until he was in his shift, but his wolf missedthe camaraderie.

He needed to find a place to call homeand start a pack. Wolves would find him in time, he was sure. Buthe was destined to be alpha, and he was damn well going to beone.

One way or another.

With a yipped challenge, Lennox tookoff into the night. Linus snorted, and he and Remy took off afterhim, not about to let the youngest one bag the biggestbuck.

He’d enjoy tonight, because in themorning, he’d leave and find a place to start a pack.

Alpha Remy had a nice ring toit.

He just had to find theright town.

And hopefully, once he was set up,people would find him and the pack would grow.

He was doubly hopeful that histruemate would be among them, because he was damn tired of beingunmated and dating his right hand.

Wherever she was, he hoped to hell sheshowed up soon.

With the May full mooncame heart-warming celebrations, peace between two packs at odds, and the start of healing very old wounds from their parents’generation. Kash and Bella spent the day before the full moon withher family, where her parents threw them a huge party with the packand Brett introduced Kash as his son. Kash had been fully humbledby Brett’s show of support and compassion, and Bella and Poppy hadboth sobbed and insisted on a group hug for the entire family, including Chris and Jake.

Bella told Kash that she’dhad the best time with her pack in her life, and felt a renewedconnection to her family even though she was leaving the pack tojoin up with his pack. On the full moon, they returned to Allen, where—with her family in attendance—the two of them were joinedtogether officially as mates.

After a week-long honeymoonin the Florida Keys, they returned to Allen, and things got back tonormal. Bella took a job with a local preschool, where she got toplay with babies all day and loved every second of it, and Kashreturned to his post at the retirement community. They’d brokenground on their Fae Realm home a week earlier, the three-bedroomquaint home would have ivy planted that his mom’s friend Kari wouldgrow with her blosomfaepower to cover as much of the house as Bellawanted.

It had been cool to have his friendRemy come back to town for the full moon. Kash wasn’t an alphawolf, so he didn’t really understand the pull of leadership thathis friend experienced. Remy hadn’t wanted to get into a brawl withAlpha Jason for dominance, so he’d taken off.

“Boo!”
