“So what are we gonna do?” I ask, taking a seat next to Nash.

“Well, if they live here now, it’s because of Willow and I doubt they’re going to leave if we ask nicely.” Nash rubs his temples.

Aubrey stops chopping and points her knife at us. “Is that what Capri wants? Because I know you two want to go all alpha crazy on their asses, but you can’t. We have to sit back and go with the flow. This decision is Capri’s and hers alone. We are only here to support her and be along for the ride.” She waves the knife back and forth between the two of us, narrowing her eyes.

“She’s right, you know?” I look at Nash. “We can’t make the choice for Willow. Running them off could make this situation worse. She told Chandler she needed time and he agreed to that. We need to follow her lead when it comes to them.”

The two of us look at Nash, eyes wide and focused on him.

“Okay, I hear you!” He drops his head backward, staring at the ceiling. “We listen to our omega. If she wants them, we accept it and move forward. But they’re not going to be the boss of this pack just because they’re old as shit.”

“Agreed.” I nod.

“You two are ridiculous. Sometimes I am so glad I’m a beta.” Aubrey shakes her head as she drops the veggies in a frying pan to soften them.

“And they don’t get to come in here and give Willow rules. We won’t let them put our omega back in a box.”

Aubrey smiles. “See now you two are thinking rationally. I agree that her not being able to be herself would be the worst-case scenario.”

She drains the oil from the veggies and puts them in a bowl before putting the steak in the pan.

“What are you making, Aubs?” I ask, watching her work.

“Cheesesteaks. Don’t change the subject. The Chandler guy seems to be more on the same page as us. It’s Dane we might have an issue with.”

“So we sit them down and tell them how things are gonna go. At least when it comes to our omega. She won’t be told she has to quit school, she won’t be told to stop camming. Things remain as is unless Willow wants to change them,” Nash tells us as he rubs his temples.

The sound of someone stomping down the stairs has us all turning in the direction of the doorway. Our omega appears and she looks mad as hell.

With her hands on her hips, she narrows her eyes at us. “The internet isn’t working! I can’t cam which means I’m not getting paid!”

“It was working earlier.” Nash gets up and heads to the router to make sure everything is in working order.

I get up, round the counter, and grab the spatula from Aubrey. “Go use your cell’s hotspot and help our woman cam. I’ll finish dinner.”

Willow’s face morphs into a smile and she does a little dance while clapping her hands. “Yay! Thank you.” She motions to Aubrey. “Come on. I got an idea you’re gonna love.”

Aubrey laughs as she takes Willow’s hand and they head back upstairs giggling.

“Those two are going to be the death of us someday. I just know it.”

Chapter Twenty-Seven

WILLOW

Hair wrapped in a towel from the shower I just took, I find Nash in the living room, kneeling on the ground with the router in his hand. “Did you get it working?”

“No,” he grumbles. “I tried resetting the damn thing three times. But nothing. Ledger is outside checking to see if maybe something became detached but I have no idea why the internet isn’t working.” He lets out an irritated sigh as he gets to his feet.

“Should we call someone?” Aubrey asks, joining us in the living room. She gives me a little knowing smirk and my whole body flushes at the thought of what we just did.

It might be for the fans, but any time I’m with her or the guys, I forget the world exists.

“I called the internet provider, but they said the internet is fine in all of Calling Wood. The only place that seems to have an issue, is our house.”

“What the hell?” My brows furrow. “Why would only our house be affected?”

“I don’t know, but we need the internet. I have work to do,” he growls. “And I’m not carting my ass to the library every time I need the internet.”
