“Us? How did we have anything to do with it?” Dane cocks a brow, just as confused as me.

Her eyes lift to meet ours. “Well, I went back home to see Wesley and you two obviously know what happened there.” She blushes at the mention of her heat and all the filthy things she begged us to do to her. “Dane marked me and I was…am pissed.” She hits him with a hard look. “I should have been asked and being older you should have known not to bite an omega in the throes of heat.” She glares at him. “Anyway, after you guys left, I was panicked, terrified of what they would think. I was sure they’d leave me and I’d be alone again. That's when I knew they were my pack…my family. So I came home and told them right away. They were mad as hell, but they still wanted me and agreed that even if I came with the two of you, we’d figure it out because they love me.”

God dammit. I really wanted to keep not being fond of the three little shits, but they did the right thing for Willow. They’re what she needs, but Dane and I fit in there somewhere, I know we do. We just have to figure out where.

Chapter Thirty

NASH

“There’s the car!” Ledger points to the silver sedan in the parking lot of Savory Byte.

It took a whole three minutes after watching them pull out of our driveway before I grabbed my keys, tossed on my favorite black hoodie, and got into my car.

Ledger was right behind me, slipping into the passenger seat.

Aubrey came running out, banging on the window and demanding to know what the hell we were doing.

I told her that there was no way I was letting my omega leave with two strangers. The last time she was alone with them, one of them fucking bit her without her permission.

I don’t even want to think about the other things they did with her. They took her first heat from us. It should have been mine and Ledger’s knots she was cumming on, turning into a needy puddle of slick, not theirs.

Okay, yes, I’m still pretty sour about it and yes I know I need to move on and get used to these two assholes in her life, but it’s not going to be easy.

And with the way Dane behaved outside the omega compound, sue me for being concerned he might lose his temper on her.

Aubrey called us a few choice words before running back into the house, locking up, and joining us in the backseat.

Now, we’re parking our car, far away from theirs so that we’re not seen.

“You do know, if Willow catches us, it could get us in the dog house. She’s going to think we don’t trust her,” Aubrey says, sticking her head between the two seats.

“No. She’s going to see that her alphas were worried about her, with good reason,” Ledger tells her.

“Look, all I want to do is make sure she’s okay. That's it. Then we can leave okay?”

“Fine.” Aubrey shakes her head. “You two are fucking crazy.”

“But you love us.” Ledger hits her with a cheeky grin.

“Lucky for you,” she mutters back, then her eyes widen. “Look, there they are!” Aubrey points out the front window.

My head snaps in the direction of their car. Chandler gets out at the same time Dane does. Both of them go for the back doors and open them.

I smirk as they shoot each other a glaring look over the top of the car. If I had to pick teams, I’m team Chandler.

So when Willow gets out of the car on his side, I can’t help but chuckle.

All humor slips away when Chandler offers her his arm. And the moment she takes it, this aching feeling hits me in my chest.

I watch, heart pounding, as they disappear into the restaurant.

“Come on,” I tell them, opening my car door.

“God, what are you doing, Nash!” Aubrey hisses but follows me anyway.

“I just need to see. To make sure.”

“You just saw,” she growls, grabbing at my arm to stop me. “You're being crazy!”
