“Just Dance?” Riley’s face lights up. “When did you get this?”

“Last week.” I frown at his excited face. “Please tell me you don’t play this game.”

“Oh, uh…” Riley pulls his expression into line. “Nah, so lame, right? I don’t even know why you own it.”

Caroline snickers. “I don’t think he does either, but I bet you can dance circles around him.”

“Really?” Riley’s face lights up again. “Is he bad?”

“He sucks.” Caroline tips her head back with a laugh.

“Oh, this I gotta see.” Asher crosses his arms, his gleeful smile borderline evil as Caroline lines up another round.

“Come on, hot shot, you can dance too.” She waves him over and soon has the four of us lined up and ready to play.

The song begins, and like hell I’m letting these douche nuggets beat me.

I give it my best damn shot, but Riley is a freaking king. Asher’s not bad either. Thankfully, Connor looks as much like a gorilla as I do, so that brings me some comfort.

Before the round has ended, Ethan and Liam appear.

Somehow, my girlfriend persuades them to join in too.

See, I told you she was magic.

She went for the competition angle, and guys in this house can’t resist. Soon we’re all competing in earnest, dancing off like this is the fucking Stanley Cup final.

Ethan moves like a brick building, while Riley’s a freaking snake in water. Who knew the guy’s limbs were made of rubber?

They’re into it, though. The determination on Ethan’s face is hilarious, and it only gets better when Mikayla walks in the door and sees him.

She jolts to a stop, her eyes nearly popping out of her head before she scrambles for her phone and starts recording.

The video’s gonna be shit—she’s laughing so damn hard her hand is shaking. It’s that silent laughter that makes her whole body vibrate, and it quickly turns into a squeal when Ethan spins and notices her.

“What are you doing?” He jerks to a stop, forgetting all about the competition and lunging at her. “Delete that!”

“Nope!” She holds the phone away, laughing as he scrambles to reach it.

He’s twice her size, but she’s a freaking bullet as she shoots out of the room.

Her raucous laughter can be heard above the music as he chases her upstairs and they continue to tussle for the phone.

I turn to check on Caroline, and she’s grinning and laughing, congratulating Riley on his awesome score and challenging him to another dance.

They go for it, and Caroline wins. Raising her hands in the air, she jumps over to me, whooping and leaping into my arms.

I kiss her solid, so everyone in the room knows she’s mine, before drinking in her laughter.

Fuck. I want her to stay.

In my room.

All night.

With me.

I’ve never felt that way about a girl before, and part of me is too scared to ask, but then the words slip free, whispering across her cheek and into her ear.
