I try to turn my head away from him, so he doesn’t see me trying not to laugh. Knight ignores him. “This is not the first time I have dealt with one of my brothers and their ole ladies being pregnant,” he reassures me and Terror eyes his every move as he takes my blood.
“Isn’t that too much? That won’t make her sick?” Knight laughs. “Brother, you are going to give yourself a heart attack.”
Terror places the Band-Aid on the crook of my arm where the blood was drawn. I take his hand and step down onto the floor before he can actually carry me this time.
“Go relax in the main room and I will come get you when the results are back,” Knight tells us, and the guys are all gathered around the door watching.
I smile at all of them. They’re making me feel like I’m the queen of England with all the attention.
We walk together into the main room. River and Julia are both barely able to move from how pregnant they are.
Terror sets me down beside them. “I guess another one bites the dust?” River jokes and rubs her huge belly.
“Well, we are hoping that it’s true.”
Terror is standing behind me on the couch. “Go spend time with your brothers, I won't break.”
He doesn’t look sure, but eventually relents and goes across the room to where Reaper and Andrey are talking.
“I saw the freak out. Girl, you are in trouble,” Julia tells me, and I laugh. “I have been super emotional. I assumed it was my monthly but there was a very faint two lines.”
The thought of having a family of my own seems so far out of reach, but it’s close enough now I can almost touch it.
I can feel the heat of Terror’s eyes on me; he glances over to check on me every minute or so.
This last month has brought us closer. We have gotten into a routine, and I don’t think I will ever be able to see myself anywhere else but at his side ever again.
It has been the happiest time of my life; it seems like I have known him forever and it goes by so fast.
Me and the girls have become close; we have spent so much time together and this weekend I’m keeping all of the kids for a massive sleepover night.
River winces and places her hand on the small of her back, then I watch in horror as the front of her gray leggings start to turn darker like she is peeing on herself.
I gasp and my mouth forms an “O” shape and I turn to find Gage. “I think my water just broke,” she tells me and looks at her lap then to me.
Terror runs over and he looks at River’s crotch, then looks away. “Gage, your ole lady is leaking!” His voice turns squeaky at the end and his face is showing his panic.
Julia stands up almost falling over from the weight of her stomach. I let out a small scream and try to catch her when she tilts back.
That’s when I see the small stream running down her legs like she’s peeing, just like River.
Holy shit.
There is no way they’re both in labor at the same time.
“REAPER! Julia is leaking too!” Terror screams dramatically, and he runs over to her to make sure she doesn’t fall.
Reaper thunders into the room loudly. “What the fuck happened?” Gage is right behind him then Knight.
“Both of their waters broke,” I tell the guys.
They pick up their women and run with them out the door and I follow closely behind. “I can watch the kids, don’t worry about that,” I tell them, and I can see both of the girls are relieved.
Usually, the kids are in the back room where the playroom is. I wait for them to be taken away and I take ahold of Terror’s hand nervous for them and excited at the same time.
“At least they will be together,” Nicole tells me. Terror looks even more panicked and looks at my stomach.
Knight watches them go off and comes back to us. “Let’s see if your pregnancy test is back, yes?”
