Page 83 of Controlling Chloe

“Mark my words. We’ll be ready for him.”

When Kieran and I get back to the estate and pull up to my house, the moving truck is waiting. There’s pop music blasting, and when we walk into the living room, Chloe, Paisley, Cali, and Scarlet are having a dance party. Each of them has a glass of wine in hand.

“I wonder how drunk they already are,” Kieran says, his gaze landing disapprovingly on Paisley.

I grin and slap him on the shoulder. “Buddy, this is going to be so much fun.”

He turns and glares at me. “What the fuck are you talking about?”

“Just can’t wait for the show.”

Before he can ask more, I close in on Chloe and pull her into my arms, laughing when she lets out a squeal of surprise.

“How’s my good girl?” I murmur in her ear.

Her eyes are glassy and twinkling as she looks up at me. “I’m perfect, Daddy. I’ve never been so happy in my life.”

My heart thuds as I stare down at her. “Same, Little girl. What do you think about getting married tonight?”

The glass she’s holding slips from her fingers, and if it weren’t one of those plastic wine tumblers, there’d be glass shattered all around us.

“Tonight? But I don’t have a dress. We don’t have a marriage license.”

Leaning down, I press a kiss to her lips. “Yes, you do and yes, we do. Daddy’s taken care of all of it. There are twenty dresses up in the guest room for you to choose from along with a variety of bridesmaids dresses for your friends. The license is in my pocket. Grace is putting together a feast. And I don’t think I can go another day without you tied to me forever.”

Her pupils dilate as her breathing shallows. “Really?”

“Really. And if you want a huge wedding later, I’ll hire a planner tomorrow, and we’ll invite the king and queen of every country to attend.”

She giggles and shakes her head. “I don’t want a big wedding. I just want you.”

My cock hardens and my chest constricts. “You’re so fucking perfect. You have me. For the rest of our lives.”

“Okay. Let’s get married!”

Cali, Scarlet, and Paisley start screaming and jumping up and down, breaking the focus I had on my girl. I forgot they were here.

Kieran grins and pushes me out of the way to hug Chloe. When she wraps her arms around her brother, I let out a low growl but quickly shut up when Chloe glares at me. They might be siblings, but my mind only registers another man touching my girl. Guess I’ll need to work on that.

When they part, Chloe shakes her hands in front of her. “Oh my God, I need to sober up and get ready. You have to go away. You’re not supposed to see me before the wedding.”

I laugh and grab her, smashing my mouth to hers. She goes limp in my arms, kissing me back, and when I finally let her go, she has a dreamy, far-off look in her eyes.

“I love you, Little girl. I’ll see you at the altar.”

“We’re married!”

Chloe twirls around our bedroom in her flowing white dress. She’s the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen in my life. I always thought I’d be nervous on my wedding day, but when Kieran led her down the aisle to me, the only thing I felt was unconditional love and adoration. She’s my girl. My person. My queen. And now, my wife.

I strip out of my suit jacket and toss it on the nearby chair. My shoes are next, and then I start unbuttoning my shirt. When she notices, she moves to me and closes her fingers over one of the buttons, taking over the job.

When she pushes the material open, her breath hitches. “What is that?”

My lips twitch as I lower my gaze to where she’s looking. “It’s your name.”

Her eyes go wide and round. “I can see that. When did you get it?”

“Today.”
