A NEW DAY

We force ourselves to get a little sleep since we have the long drive back, but not much. I crawl out of bed early, quiet so Callum can sleep a little longer, and go out to feed the emus. The sun is bright when I’m done, a beautiful crisp morning. I go into Jolene to take my shower since allmy things are out here, laughing when I see myself in the full-length mirror on the bathroom door. “Your brothers will be here soon,” I warn.
“Sutton said they’re stopping to grab coffee and breakfast for us. We’ve got a little time...unless you’d rather do something else?”
I close my eyes when his fingers move between my legs.
