Owen and Dakota run over when they see me walking toward my seat. They show me the small LEGO set they’ve built since they got here. Owen’s been dividing his time between watching the game and playing hard.

“This is so cool,” I tell him. “You guys did that fast.”

“We had to so I could still catch the game,” he says, smiling up at me before he’s off again.

He’s so cute sometimes it makes my heart squeeze.

I feel Sutton’s eyes on me and when I turn to look, he’s close, and I was right…he’s staring at me. He looks away when Olivia turns toward him.

“He’s way hotter than I remember, I’ll give him that,” she mutters under her breath. “Anyone who can look sexy in those black robes has got some serious swagger. Too bad he’s a prick.”

“Olivia!” I hiss. “He’s not a prick. The fact that you lost your first case probably has very little to do with him and everything to do with you. Get over it and move on.”

I walk away and in doing so, I nearly run into Sutton. He steadies me and we exchange a heated look before I move past him, going to sit by my parents since the girls are by the food now. Sitting here feels safer than going near Sutton or my sister again, and my parents want to watch the game as badly as I do.

For the next hour, I get lost in the game and it’s an exceptional one. The Mustangs win by fourteen and I can’t even believe it—my brother’s going to the Super Bowl! We dance around the suite, and when the game is over, after the awards and all the celebrating, we meet Weston on the field. His teammate Penn Hudson is next to him, and both are happier than I’ve ever seen them. Since meeting Penn, I’ve had a little crush on him, but when I see him this time, I don’t feel that same rush of attraction.

I hug Weston and then Penn, congratulating them both, and then I hug Weston again, crying when I tell him how proud I am of him.

“You did it. I knew you would,” I tell him.

Penn huddles with us, his arms around us, and I think all three of us cry a little bit. It’s a sweet, emotional moment.

When we break apart and they move to hug my parents and the rest of their friends gathering around, I stand back and laugh as I watch them. I’ve never seen Weston this excited. Icongratulate a few of the other players I met when I was staying with Weston and then turn, and Sutton is there.

“Sorry,” he says. “I don’t want to rush you, but I wanted to let you know I can take you home.”

I start to argue but stop myself. It’s most convenient for everyone involved if I ride with Sutton.

“Okay.” My voice is resigned, and I don’t miss the look of hurt that crosses his face.

“Take your time. We’ll be over here when you’re ready,” he says.

And he turns and walks away before I can respond.

“I think we’re going to take off,” Scarlett says behind me.

I turn to face her and Jamison has her back pulled against his chest. They look like a sexy romance novel. For that matter, so do Callum and Ruby when they walk hand-in-hand toward us. Next to them, Wyatt and Marlow are sneaking in a kiss while Dakota and Owen chat, and Sofie’s leaning against the wall of the arena while Theo talks to her, his forehead on hers.

My God. How do people live around this and not lose their minds with lust?

“This was incredible, Felicity. Thank you so much for making this happen,” Scarlett says. “We had the best time.”

“I’m so happy it worked out,” I say, hugging her when she moves closer.

“Hey, you’re okay, right?” she asks.

I pull back and nod. “Yeah, I’m good. Just a little weepy for my brother.” I laugh and hope that I pull it off. I feel like crying for entirely different reasons.

“Do you need a ride back with us or is Sutton taking you?” she asks.

“Sutton’s taking me.”

She nods and smiles, but she still looks concerned, like maybe I’m not being quite as convincing as I’d hoped.

I hug everyone, saving my parents for last.

“Love you,” I tell them.
