“I better go because you’re making me hard as a rock and I have to be in court in fifteen.”

“Ooo, plenty of time to pretend that’s my fist around you?—”

“No, I am not doing that at work,” I interrupt, laughing. Although she has me strongly considering it.

“Suit yourself,” she says.

“And don’t you either. We wait for each other, deal?”

She laughs. “Since when are orgasms negotiated?”

“Since you got in bed with me.” I grin when she sighs.

“Okay, fine.”

“I’m sorry to say I’ll be late tonight. Owen’s going to dinner with Tracy, and I’m going to Callum’s for a bit. You’re welcome to come with me, if you’d like.”

“Maybe another night. I need to do laundry and catch up on a few things. Oh, before you go—would you and Owen be interested in going to the Super Bowl? Weston’s giving me two extra tickets.”

“That would be…incredible.” I can’t believe I’m even hesitating. What guy in their right mind would turn down tickets like this? “Won’t your parents think it’s weird if I show up there? It seemed less so when it was close and my whole family came out, but if it’s just me and Owen…”

“They might. But I don’t really care. Jamison and Scarlett are going since it’s in Boston. And it’s the Super Bowl. I’d hate for you to miss out because we’re worried about that.”

“When do you need to know for sure?”

“I told Weston I’d let him know today.”

“Okay, I’ll look at the schedule too, and see if it’s even a possibility.”

“Sounds good.”

“I’m having a hard time saying bye,” I say, groaning.

She laughs. “I can tell. How about this? If Owen’s still out when you get back from Callum’s, come over. We can chat more then.”

“I’ll try to make that happen.”

“Bye, Sutton.”

“Bye, Felicity.”

I’ve always hated wearing the robe, but it’s a godsend right now. I manage to get through court sporting a semi, and no one’s the wiser.

CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

ON THE MOVE

FELICITY

I’ve stayed busy, cleaning and working on laundry, and my phone stays quiet. I try not to check it like crazy, but I do look a few times to make sure the sound is on and roll my eyes at myself every time.

Around eight, I hear from him.

Sutton

I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to message you. I got hung up at Callum’s and I’m heading home in a few minutes, but I think Tracy will be there when I get back, and we need to talk about Owen.

I sit down and stare at my phone for a few minutes.
