She laughs. “Maybe you’ll find out someday,” she teases.

“What do you want to eat?” Las asks.

She rubs her hands together. “I would love a big juicy burger. Is there a greasy diner here? Please say there is?”

“You are full of surprises, baby.” I grin.

“Good surprises?” she asks.

“Very good,” Logan says softly.

“If we are going to have our first date, I want to change.”

“You look beautiful already,” Las says.

“Thanks, Las.” She blushes. “But I would like to change. It’s important to me.”

“Whatever you want.” Logan holds his hand out. “We will take you to your hotel.”

She skips over, taking his offer. We stand at her back as she locks the door.

I pout.

I don’t need her to look any more stunning—it’s hard enough to keep my hands to myself.

I’m going to die.

I shift in my seat. I’m going to die of a permanent hard-on.

I thought it would ease if I sat on the opposite side of the booth and let my brothers sandwich her between them.

It did not.

We found a diner for her. Fortunately, they had a booth in the back corner with a high back. My back is against the wall. Breeane looks stunning. We dropped her off at her hotel, refusing to wait inside while she dressed—we didn’t have enough self-control for that. At least with the door shut and no way for us to get in, we could wait in the lobby, only imagining her without clothes.

She put on a long-sleeved, tight-as-fuck shirt that covered her from neck to waist yet was no less sexy than showing off everything. She changed from her jeans to a long, deep red skirt that matched her hair perfectly.

We all ordered and waited for the waitress to bring our burgers with extra fries.

“You look beautiful,” Logan tells her.

“Thank you, Handsome,” she says, brushing her hand down her shirt. “It may seem silly, but this is my first date in a while. Especially an important one.”

“Never silly,” Las says.

“Thanks.” Her smile blinds us.

“Why did you decide to move here?” I ask.

“We wanted a new start.”

“Your friend?”

“Yes, she has been…” she trails off. She twines her fingers on the table. “She’s been through some bad times. We both thought starting over somewhere new would help. Plus, I have always wanted to own a bakery.”

“Where did you learn to bake?” Las asks.

“Trial and error,” she laughs. “I didn’t go to school. I started by watching cooking shows and trying at home. I wasn’t that great, but I just kept trying. I worked in several bakeries and restaurants. I left an excellent job, but I knew I could do this.”
