“He likes you,” he replies. He pops up to lean on his forearm, still connected to me and showing no signs of wanting to leave. “You alright?” He pulls my arm down, massaging it.

“Oh, yeah,” I smile slowly.

He laughs. “I don’t want to leave you.” He glides in and out slowly. “You feel so good.”

I wiggle. “You can feel me anytime you want,” I say cheekily.

“I may never get any work done.”

I smirk. “You guys must have an obsession with island countertops,” I say, looking into his sparkling eyes.

“We have an obsession with anything that you are spread upon, Sugar,” he grins.

These boys certainly have a way with words, and I love it.

Chapter Eighteen

Breeane

Ijump when my phone rings. I am sitting in the apartment upstairs, holding the edges of my ruined shirt together. I forced Logan out the door to go get me clothes. I refused to take his shirt, which would leave his sexy chest on display, and I will not walk out of here without a bra.

He waited outside the door to make sure I locked it. He called his brothers, but they didn’t answer, which is normal when they are working. He tried to come up with any excuse not to leave me here alone.

My body was completely relaxed until I looked down and saw Caleb’s name flash on the screen.

I decline the call, frowning.

I glare when it rings again, but when I look down, Stephanie's name shines up at me. My relief doesn’t last long after I bring it to my ear.

“I have to tell you something, but don’t panic,” she says hurriedly.

“Why do people say that? Of course, I’m going to panic,” I said, panicking.

“Shit, sorry.” She takes a deep breath. “Your brother may know where you are.”

I jump up, forgetting about my shirt. “What? What the fuck do you mean, he may know.”

“I wasn’t here. He came over, and my cousins were having a party. They don’t know much about your family. You know I didn’t share any details. You also know he can be the life of the party and very charming. He made it seem as if you asked him to check up on me for you.”

“Jesus, Steph.” My legs give out, and I sit heavily on the bed.

“They discussed our plan,” she whispers.

“Why did you say he might know? He definitely knows,” I shout. My stomach cramps.

“Because my idiot uncles don’t remember if they told him the exact location,” she growls. “The morons had been drinking all day. I didn’t find out until the next day when I saw them. I didn’t even see Caleb.”

“This is so bad,” I moan. Caleb will come here. If he knows, of which I have little doubt, he will come as soon as he can. How am I going to handle this? Should I tell my mates?

“I’m so sorry. I yelled at them and haven’t spoken to them since.”

“Great,” I spit. “This is just fucking great. This is my life. I finally got away from my family. I get to start fresh. Meet three delicious lion shifters who are my mates. Have amazing sex and hope to have a lot more, and this shit happens.” I fall back. “Why do they have to ruin everything?” I whisper.

“Excuse me?” Oh shit. “What are you talking about? Did you forget to inform your best friend of something?”

“Umm…” I can’t get away with no explanation. “It’s your turn not to panic,” I say wryly.

“Okay, I see your point about that,” she says. “Lions?”
