"Yes, I can show you to it in the morning. They are already closed for the night. Your hotel will have Wifi so you can do a search on your computer. Now how about dinner? My treat?" she asked.

We got settled into our room, Lucien and I were snuggled on one of the beds, flipping TV channels as Jayce pulled out his laptop.

"Jayce, you can come join Lucien and I on the bed," I smirked at him.

He turned in his chair to reply, "I wanted to get a head start on this. Today was not a fun day at all. I don't know why I didn't dig in sooner."

"We all dropped the ball on this hunt. Everything from my cousin's murder, to the house, the businesses and life, I think we all jumped at the chance to be free of that for a few days. We have learned our lesson," I tell him. "We all need rest, you don't need to be on that thing ‘til the wee hours of the morning."

"I know, but we need some leads as to what we are dealing with. Something horrible had to have happened there. I doubt that I'll find much on the web. A small town like this won't have everything online, yet at least," he tells us before he turns around and starts clicking keys on his keyboard.

"You know that he will not get any sleep until he gets some clue of what we are dealing with," Lucien told me as he pulled me in closer to him.

"I was surprised that they had a chain hotel here. What they truly need is a charming little bed and breakfast," I mused.

"Well I, for one, am glad they did. Otherwise, we would have to get two rooms instead of sharing one. That would cause a fight of who got to stay with you," he reminded me.

"Why are you always the voice of reason?" I asked as I placed a kiss on his cheek.

"It's because he is over one hundred years old. Old men have knowledge," Eli joked as he appeared out of the bathroom in only a towel.

I didn't mind that fact, but Jayce swiveled to say something and stopped short. "Dude, you know that I don't want to see your junk. Get dressed."

"Maybe I will just drop this towel and come tackle you. Just to piss you off. Rub my ass cheeks on your keyboard," Eli teased.

"I swear dude, you try it and I'm going to cut your junk off in your sleep. I'll have to find some gloves first, but I'll do it," Jayce threatened him.

This just gets a laugh from Eli, "Relax, I forgot to grab underwear before I went in."

He crossed to his suitcase and pulled a pair out and waved them like a flag before he disappeared once again.

"You shouldn't be a prude, Jayce. It's not like you haven't all been naked together with me before," I remind him.

"That is different and you know it," he argued before his face returned to his screen. "Oh, look, I found something but it's not much."

He unplugged his laptop and headed to the bed with it. The screen had a newspaper filling it and the headline read: Serial killer found and sentenced to spend time in the Reed Asylum.

"Fuck me," I whispered. That wasn't the kind of spirit I wanted to deal with now. It was too soon and I wasn't over my cousin's death just yet. "Why does it have to be a serial killer? We just dealt with one of those. Here I thought that we'd have an easy haunting and a mini vacay."

"It says here that all her victims were men. She collected their dead bodies and stuffed them like animals for display in her house," Jayce read.

A shiver down my spine at that. That was worse than what our old neighbors had done.

"Says that she was caught because she tried to kidnap a cop. You know, for her collection. I want to look and see if we can find what happened to her at the asylum and if she died there. I have a feeling that we are going to have to find something of hers to salt and burn. That is if she wasn't buried there. We need to find the connection to why she is still there," Jayce told Lucien and I.

"She sounds like a bold gal," Lucien comments. "Kidnapping a cop. That takes balls."

"Or she's insane," I countered. “It’s an asylum after all.”

"I agree with Raven. Definitely, insane. I'm going to keep looking. If you want to get some rest, I can go down to the lobby and do my research there," Jayce offered.

"No, I don't want you that far from me. We have no way of knowing what lurks in this town. I'll sleep better knowing that we are all in the same room," I told him. "Lucien and I are going to watch a little drama on TV to unwind. We won't bother you will we?"

Eli exited the bathroom again, fully dressed and yawning. He joined Lucien and I in the bed and snuggled his head on my chest.

"You know there are pillows right?" I laughed.

"If not pillows, why so comfy?" he countered.
