Now she tells me, that would have been great information to have known before I touched it. I let go of Jayce and sprinted past the other two as they called for me.

I had to get this outside and out of my hand, so I pushed forward. Was the hall getting longer? I should have been smarter than to just grab it with my hands. Why didn't we bring gloves or something?

"Raven!" my guys yelled after me.

Eli was the first one to reach me as I had finally stopped.

"Why are you running from us?"

I don't say anything until I throw down the tin. It popped open and out spilled hair, teeth, a toe and some other trinkets.

"She fucking collected prizes from her victims," I spat out as the tears started to fall.

Lucien wrapped his strong arms around me as Jayce rummaged through his bag. He pulled out the salt, lighter fluid, and matches. He didn't say anything but set to work. He salted the tin and its contents before he doused it in the fluid. Just before Jayce could strike the match on the side of the package, Eli stepped up to him.

"Can I have the honors?" he asked.

Jayce handed the match to Eli and with one easy movement the tin stick was ablaze. Eli looked at the flame for a second before throwing it down to the messy pile. It went up in an instant.

"How do we know if that was really it?" Lucien asked.

Just as I went to answer, there was a scream from inside the building.

"We could go and check," Eli told us.

I nod, "Yes, we will have to. There is no way we can guarantee our work if we don't, right?"

Lucien sighed and Jayce's shoulders sagged.

"Let's go and get home," Lucien said as he unwrapped from around me.

We turn back to the house and I speak up, "Jayce are you feeling anything?"

"Just a little fuzzy feeling, nothing too strong like before," he told me as we moved closer.

"Eli, do you want to go get the car?" I asked, not wanting to exclude him, but his power was the least predictable.

"Yeah, I don't want to fall into another memory after that other one," he replied with a shudder.

I moved closer to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek before he broke off from us.

That he agreed to that had me breathing a little easier.

"Are you seeing anyone, Raven?" Lucien asked.

"Charlie, but she is smiling," I replied with a smile to match. "So, maybe we didn't free all of the spirits or maybe they want to stay."

"Why would they want to stay here and not move on?" Jayce questioned.

"They could be happy here, and it's their home," Lucien told us. "I was okay at the college, other than reliving my death, I was fine there."

I stopped at the front steps when I noticed that there were more spirits behind Charlie. "Are you all still trapped here?"

"We are tied to this place, but those that Lucy tortured have moved on to rest, we choose to stay," Charlie told me.

"Do you want us to release you from this place?" I questioned.

"No, we wish to stay," she said for herself and all the others.
