Page 63 of Knot so Sweet

Heat rushes to my cheeks, and I can’t help but feel a flutter of excitement in my chest. Walker has always known how to make me feel special, but there’s something different about him today. His eyes hold a hunger for me that I see a lot lately.

He reaches out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ear. His touch sends a quick shiver down my spine. “Are you hungry?”

“Starving.”

“I bet you are.” He smiles. “I’m glad the weather is perfect today, because we can eat outside.”

“Sounds perfect.”

His loving gaze zaps my heart as he takes a step closer. “You deserve nothing but the best,” he says, his hand reaching out to caress my cheek. “And this pack will give you that.”

Gabe smiles as he strolls toward me. “Good morning, my sweet,” he greets me with a warm smile. “I hope you slept well.”

“I did. My heat and the storm both seem like a distant memory now.”

His stubble pricks my ear while he murmurs to me. “And you look beautiful, as always.”

I smile as he takes the hand that Walker isn’t holding, and the two men lead me out of the house and along a path toward the ocean.

The sound of my heart whooshing matches the crashing of the waves that now fill the air.

They lead me through the impeccably manicured gardens that overlook the sparkling sea, and when we reach a secluded spot under the shade of a large tree, I see a picnic blanket is set up with a delectable spread of croissants and fruits, and lots of other yummy food.

“Breakfast by the sea,” Gabe says when we reach the beautiful smelling food. “I thought it would be the perfect way to start our day.”

“I can think of a more perfect way,” I say with a wink.

“Oh, our omega is still frisky today.” Gabe laughs. “I thought you’d be too sore to even think about it, never mind hint about it.”

I can’t help but smile as I take a seat. The warm breeze tousles my hair.

Only when I’m seated on the blanket, do I notice Gabe and Walker are both wearing shorts and tee shirts, showing off their big, muscular bodies. The sight makes my head woozy.

I suppose my body has only just come down from the great high.

Maybe it’s still up there.

“Fruity cocktail,” Walker says, handing me a glass with a bright red drink, crushed ice, and a sprig of mint on the side.

“It’s a bit early, isn’t it?”

Walker grins. “There’s no alcohol. I’d like the next time you’re riding my cock for you to be coherent.”

“Just say it as it is.” I can’t deny his words make my pussy pulse, but at the same time, they make me shiver with nerves.

Gabe chuckles. “He can’t help himself.”

I turn to Gabe. “Can you?”

Something flashes across his face. I can’t decipher what it is. Finally he says, “I have to.”

“Why?” I hold eye contact with him. His stare doesn’t falter as he looks back at me, just like an alpha does. Strong and determined.

I have to. What does that mean? Yesterday he was all in.

Why did it feel like the sentence wasn’t finished?

His indifference straight after my heat hits my heart like a lightning bolt.
