As we pull away, she smiles. “Thank you, Walker,” she whispers. “For everything.”

I brush a stray lock of hair off her face, tucking it behind her ear. “You’re welcome, Eleanor. Thank you too. Now, just close your eyes and try to relax. You need to sleep.”

She sighs in contentment and leans against me, her head resting on my shoulder.

I kiss the top of her head, my heart swelling, knowing my omega is choosing me.

As soon as her fluttering eyelashes settle, I realize she’s slipped into slumber. I can’t tear my eyes away, savoring the tranquil expression she wears. I want to sleep with her, but I need a discussion with my pack and how we go forward. Plus she needs to sleep, and after turning down the lights I stroll to the door.

In her sleep, she turns and snuggles down into the pillow, her breath purring rhythmically in the darkness.

I take one last look at her before closing the door with a quiet click behind me.

My heart suddenly pounding as I stroll to Gabe and Jake, all because Ella wants to know about Gabe. Yet, I’m not sure it is something that she really wants to know.

And for now, it’s something I want to keep from her.

Chapter 19

Ella

I’m pleased to say the storm disappeared at the same time as when my heat dampened. And now that it has, staying in this beautiful mansion by the sea is the perfect escape.

And while Jake picks up the products I ordered a few days ago, I’m going to enjoy some time around the pool until he gets back with the items I need so I can make some changes to Ava’s knotty cock ring.

I chuckle to myself, thinking about my sister being in love with a beta.

I wonder if she’ll want alphas when her body finally stops rebelling and gives Ava her first heat.

I wander to the closet and flick through the many outfits I have to choose from. Walker ordered me a whole new wardrobe and I think he forgets that washing machines are there for a reason.

But who can blame him? Walker was always extravagant, and his generosity knew no bounds when I was younger. There’s no reason for that to change.

As I finger through the racks of designer dresses and stylish outfits, I find one that instantly catches my eye. A flowing turquoise dress with delicate beading that sparkles when I hold it to the sunlight.

The perfect sundress.

I slip on a bikini before I pull the stunning dress over my head. My hair is pulled into a high ponytail, so I can catch some rays of sunshine on my pale skin while I laze around the enormous pool.

After checking myself in the floor to ceiling mirror, I smile before I leave the room.

This is the life!

From the top of the winding staircase, I see Walker and Gabe chatting, but it’s the ocean view from the large window that takes away my breath.

There’s so much opulence in this home. It feels like a palace, with its marble floors, and intricate chandeliers that hang like delicate raindrops suspended in midair.

I watch Walker and Gabe again, but their words are so hushed as they chat, I can’t hear. When Walker walks away, I turn and descend the staircase.

As I reach the bottom, my heart races when I spot Walker in the atrium. He turns towards me, his eyes widening as he takes in my appearance.

I’m barefoot and my footsteps pad lightly on the mansion’s grand hall toward him.

“You look absolutely stunning.” His voice is filled with genuine admiration.

Blushing, I twirl around in the dress, feeling like a princess in a fairy tale. “Thank you,” I reply, smiling shyly. “You have impeccable taste.”

Walker takes a step closer, his gaze never leaving me. “It’s not just the dress,” he says. “It’s you. You make everything beautiful.”
