We continued listening, and the bickering ceased for a moment. I looked up at Killian, who was just shaking his head.

“Can’t take them anywhere now, can I?” I shook my head.

“No, we can’t.. come on.” Walking to the back of the house, we entered the small garden party, and Blaine came over to us excitedly. He pulled me into a bone-crushing hug.

“Did she say yes? Is she finally going to be my sister-in-law?” I giggled with a small nod.

“I did say yes.” He squealed happily and pulled away.“Oh, I can’t wait until we’re all neighbors!”

I looked over to Killian. “Neighbors?” He sighed.

“Unfortunately..”

Eugene came up beside me and gave me a hug. “My little sister’s getting married before me… That’s going to be a hard one to live down.” I laughed at his commentary, and he pulled away. “Congratulations, Bri.”

I thanked him as I felt my arm being tugged softly. I looked down to see Delilah and Kimiko bouncing up and down happily. I smiled at the wild little girls, and Madam A approached me with Mr. Burkley by her side. She gave me a hug and squealed happily.

“I can’t believe it finally happened! I thought you’d never get married!” I faked my shock at her as I knew she wasn’t entirely wrong.

“Madam A!”

She shrugged harmlessly. “What? It’s the truth. I was starting to believe there was no hope.” I rolled my eyes at her, and Benjamin held up a key.

“We’re also going to be your new neighbors.” My jaw almost dropped as I turned to look at Killian.

“Are they all going to be our neighbors?” He gave a shrug.

“I figured, why not? Mr. Masahiko always travels with his wife, and they don’t mind moving here, so Kimiko will have someone to keep her company.. constantly. I knew you’d be happy if Madam A and Mr. Burkley stayed close by. Blaine is just here because we can’t leave him alone for too long, and for Reginald, Benjamin, Leo, Nathan, and George, again, I figured, why not? I can hire other people to fill in for them in London, and they all can live in their own homes here with their families and just come to the main house when it’s time for their tasks.” I smiled at his explanation and felt him wrap his arms around my waist. Everyone had now dispersed into the little party that was now occurring, and Killian whispered in my ear.

“Another reason I wanted to keep them close is because our children will start comingverysoon and.. I think we’re going to need a lot more help.” My heart sped up in my chest as he didn’t even know how right he was.

Sitting at the bottom of the grand steps by our new living room, I bit my lip as I waited for Killian to come home. He was out finalizing a lot of things for the house today and already wanted to start planning our wedding and honeymoon. I told him to take it slow for a moment, but he simply couldn’t wait.

Delilah was also not here, and I believe she and Kimiko are enjoying being neighbors more than they ought to be, but I saw no fault in two best friends spending time together.

I heard the front door being unlocked, and I looked up to see Killian closing it behind himself. He turned around, and only then did he notice I was waiting for him.

“Hello, love. You haven’t been waiting all this time for me to come back, have you?” I shrugged.

“I have… There’s something I need to tell you.” Setting his keys down, he noticed my sincerity and placed his hands in his pockets as he approached me.

“Is everything alright, darling..” I didn’t say anything in response, but I did reach into my back pocket to hand him something. He took it from my hand, and his eyes scanned over the picture of my ultrasound. His face was quickly ridden with a thousand different emotions, and he looked up at me.

“We’re having a baby?” He asked, and I nodded as a small smile broke out on my face.

I felt tears coming to my eyes as I whispered, “We are..” He stared at me for a minute, and I started feeling anxious as he said nothing.

However, my worries soon faded as a genuine smile broke out on his face, and he leaned down and kissed me. I felt my heart sore with excitement as he pulled away and looked into my eyes.

“You give me more and more reason to love you every day.”He uttered affectionately as I caressed the back of his neck softly.

“Well, I would think so, Mr. Russel. We all know I’m the highlight of your day.”

He chuckled. “And who taught you to be this cocky,Mrs. Russel.”

“Obviously you, Mr. Russel, I learned from the best,” The look on his face told me he took that comment into a playful offense, and before I knew it, I was lifted up in his arms, and he spun me around, causing my laughter to surface.

He stopped spinning and held me in the air. “I think this calls for a celebration…” He hinted, and I didn’t miss the look of pure lust in his eyes.
