“Brielle, I think you must’ve forgotten that you’re barely 5 ft, and you weigh not even 120lbs.. you’re as light as a feather.” She looked at me, almost appalled.

“Hmmm.. I’m assuming you bench press about… 250?” She guessed, and I shrugged.

“300, but that’s just a number.” She giggled and raked her fingers through my hair as I rubbed small circles on her hips.

“Getting a little cocky now, aren’t we?” She accused me, and I responded.

“You know I always am.” We went silent for a while, and I stared at her gorgeous face as she focused on her hands that were in my hair. Pulling her closer, I ignored her arousing scent as it surrounded us.

“Have dinner with me again,” I said, my lips close to touching the skin of her collarbone.

She bit her lip. “And why would I do that?”

“Because I want you to.”

“But you didn’t ask.”

“That’s because it wasn’t a question,” I muttered, and she sighed as she gave me complete eye contact. She leaned in closer and initiated the first move as she placed her lips on mine. She was intoxicating. It felt exhilarating to have her..

The way her body reacted to my touch, the way her eyes held her innocence and desire, the way her lips tasted like sweet cherries and heaven. I was growing addicted. She was constantly on my mind, the absolute bane to my existence…but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Chapter twenty-three

Brielle finished putting her hair in a ponytail and sighed as she looked into the mirror. Today was Delilah’s big day, and everything needed to be perfect… In Killian’s mind, for that matter.

She was slowly growing to hate the alluring man even more than she did, and now she truly wondered if having him constantly on her mind was healthy.

She didn’t know why these emotions were getting the best of her, and she knew she had to find a way to control them, especially considering their undefined situationship.

Getting up, she walked over to her bed and started getting her purse ready. She heard a knock on the open door and saw Killian leaning against her door frame in a burgundy suit, looking overdressed as always.

“You and these suit colors never cease to amaze me.” She admitted, pulling on her boots, and he laughed as he responded.

“It’s a special occasion. Black and navy blue would never do at a princess party.” She smiled at his antics and stood up, walking to her bathroom to finish up while he kept his eyes trained on her.

“God, you look gorgeous,” he muttered lowly as she walked out. She shrugged her shoulders, though his words sent butterflies to her stomach.

“I don’t think I look appropriate for a princess party. Maybe an aunt who’s trying to get everything together for said princess before she loses it.” He gave a small chuckle before he resumed watching her as she continued to roam around the room.

As he watched the way her hips swayed and her lips puckering in the way they usually did, he felt his eyes dilate, and his throat become dry just by watching her.

“Brielle..” He said, his voice laced with hidden desire, and she turned her head to look at him as she hummed softly in response. He made a ‘come here’ motion with his finger, and she bit her lip as she saw the lustful look in his eyes. She made her way over to him, and once she was at arm’s length, he pulled her to him and pressed his lips against hers.

She moaned softly and clutched his jacket in her fist as an automatic reflex. Ever since that fateful night, she had thought he would be more distant, but to her surprise, he wasn’t.It was almost as if he couldn’t get enough.

Before things got out of hand, she pulled away, and he gazed down at her. “I find it cute how you wear heels to try and look taller.”

She shrugged and pulled away from him. “Well, I’m trying to fit into society without looking like I’m still in 9th grade.” Walking back to her bed and grabbing her things as she tried to hide her growing blush, he spoke.

“Everything is planned, so where are you off to now?” He questioned her as she walked past him to the hall.

“Well, your party planner asked if I could help her as she was busy trying to get actual Disney World princesses to arrive by two, and I agreed to do so. I’m off to pick up the gowns, tiaras, and flower crowns at your stylist’s tailoring rooms because they are all getting Delilah’s princess dress and tiara done. I’m trying to balance all this and the six reports you gave me to do by Monday.”

She turned to look at Killian, who looked unfazed by her little rant as it brought him slight amusement to see her riled up, and she placed her hands on her hip as she continued.

“Blaine is going to be here to wake up Delilah and get her started for the day.. so he’s your ride since I’m taking George.”

“And why is Blaine responsible for the simple task of waking Delilah?” He asked, confused, and she sighed.
