“Because Benjamin is busy with the decorators at the ballroom, Reginald and Leo won’t be here for another hour or so.. And I’m giving you time to relax before you go off on.. well, everyone, for things not being perfect.”

“What would I do without you..”He whispered genuinely, and she shook her head as she crossed her arms before speaking.

“Absolutely nothing. Now, let my baby know I’ll see her in a little bit, and please… try not to go insane.”

“Did I ask why we couldn’t get the floors done in rose gold? I think not. You have 25 minutes to do something that will make that floor shimmer, and if it doesn’t, I will ruin you,” Killian seethed as he pushed the man out of the room and slammed the door shut.

He and Blaine were in one of the many rooms, waiting for his stylists to finish preparing Delilah, who seemed confused yet excited when she entered the beautiful building from the back entrance. Killian intended to keep it all a secret until Brielle returned.

“You know, Kiki, I advise you actually go out there instead of waiting for more problems to occur,” Blaine suggested, and Killian shook his head as he looked over his attire.

If Brielle thought he was overdressed, she wouldn’t be ready for Blaine, who was dressed in a full light pink suit that fit the princess theme perfectly.

“No need. Benjamin is out there coordinating everything with Reginald.”

“I don’t really think those two get along.”

“Why do you say that?” Killian asked.

“I mean, come on, Killian. They’re brothers. They must’ve had some kind of beef while in the womb.” Killian rolled his eyes at Blaine. “You’re delusional.”

Blaine shrugged as he sat back in his chair.“Just a theory.” Killian was about to speak, but he heard voices down the hall.

“Well, how many trips do you actually want me to make to the car?”

“As many trips as it takes for you to bring everything in.”

“You’re ridiculous for buying this much stuff, you know.”

“I’ll spoil my granddaughter as much I want you, old man.”Blaine and Killian glanced at each other before approaching the door and opening it. They stepped into the hall and watched an older man and woman walk towards them.

The woman had a few bags in her hand, and the man had an oversized bear larger than him over his shoulder. The woman gasped as she saw Killian, and the man sighed once she dropped the bags and went over to him.

“Hello, you must be Killian.” She said, smiling, extending her hand.

Killian nodded and spoke as he shook her hand.“I don’t believe we’ve met before.”

“I’m Madam Alexandrova, Madam A for short, and that old man there is known as Mr. Burkley or Burky for short.” Killian nodded his head once again as he recognized the names and spoke once more.

“Well, it’s a pleasure to have you here, and this is Blaine Porter. A uh.. friend of mine.” Blaine looked over to Killian, offended, and Madam A laughed lightly.

“Well, it’s a pleasure to meet the both of you as well. Come along, Burky. Let’s leave these two gentlemen in peace.” Mr. Burkley picked up the bags and groaned as he followed Madam A to the ballroom.

Blaine chuckled. “They seem like a happy couple.” Killian paid no attention to him as he read the message he’d just received on his phone.

Lockwood: You haven’t given me a direct answer yet, Killian. I’m sure you’re smart enough to make conscious decisions without much assistance. Remember to keep me in mind.

Looking up at Blaine, he spoke. “Keep a close eye out for Calvin’s men or the man himself. I have security already around the building, but I don’t know if he has any tricks up his sleeve.” Blaine crossed his arms and walked closer to Killian.

“You’re not thinking of giving in to his plan, are you?”

“Of course not. That would be absurd.”

“And I’m also assuming you won’t be telling Brielle anytime soon..”

Killian sighed. “She has night terrors and panic attacks about her family coming back into her life to ruin it. I haven’t heard her have one in a while. Either she’s stopped for the time being, or she’s extremely good at hiding it.”

“Well, you need to do something and fast. Who knows what that idiot is planning on doing next..” Killian nodded, and Blaine spoke once again as his eyebrows furrowed.
