I pulled out my knife and knelt beside him. "This is for my girl." I stabbed him in the thigh. "Because I know she wants to see you bleed" I stabbed him in the stomach. "This is for the other girls you sold into slavery." I stabbed him in the chest. "And this, this is for being a piece of shit who doesn't deserve another breath." I grabbed his head and sliced his throat.

Jasmine watched as Vince's blood pooled on the floor.

"I hope you rot in hell," she said as Vince took his last breath.

She looked at me, and I saw nothing but love in her eyes. She didn't flinch at the violence. I'd never loved anyone like her. She was perfect. I stood the knife still in my hand and pulled her in for a kiss.

Jasmine

I didn't say a word until we're inside Wolf's penthouse. Questions swirled in my mind. Why hadn't he told me what the fuck was going on at Eclipse in the first place? Was his friend Fox a straight-up serial killer? Was Wolf? Why didn't that possibility seem to matter? I watched him kill a man and all it did was turn me on. Was this really who I was?

The second we stepped into the penthouse I unleashed all the questions running through my head on the drive home. Yes, I wanted this to be my home. I wanted Wolf to be my forever, but I needed to know he trusted me the way I trusted him.

"What the fuck is going on?"

"What do you mean?"

"Everything. I almost got sold into slavery. Who was Vince DeLuca?"

"A fucking asshole."

"And your friend?"

"Fox.?"

"Yes fucking Fox, he's a psycho."

Wolf chuckled. "He hates that word."

I took a deep breath. "Is he a serial killer?"

"Yes, but not in a bad way."

"What the fuck does that mean?"

"Look, Jasmine. It's complicated."

"Are you fucking serious? I want to know everything. If you love me don't lie." I looked up at Wolf waiting.

"Jasmine I love you more than you can know." He took my hand and led me to the black leather couch in the center of the living room. "That's why I couldn't tell you everything about me. If told you and you ran." He paused squeezing my hand. "Even now if you run ..."

"I just saw you kill a man and I'm still standing here," I said putting my hands on my hips. "If you love me trust me."

Wolf inhaled deeply and looked into my eyes. "I'm a member of the Black Heart Society."

I looked at him, confused.

"The Society was started in 1888. It's global."

"So you're assassins."

Wolf squeezed my hand. "No, we're killers. Some of us have rules some of us don't. Some of us are good, some of us aren't. All of us are lethal. Fox is our current head."

"And if you want to leave?" I asked even though I was sure I knew the answer.

"Death is our cloak. Power is our shield. In silence we trust. In shadows, we thrive. In darkness, we unite. Through blood, we are bound. A Black Heart I was born. A Black Heart I will die."

"It's beautiful," I whispered and I meant it. I didn't care that Wolf was crazy. I didn't care that he was a killer. I didn't care that the man he trusted to have his back when he needed to save me, had probably bodied more people than Jason. I saw a family that stuck together and would walk through the fire for each other. That's all I'd ever wanted.
