“You’re not chained to the bed, honey. Unless you want me to do that…”

I placed my hand to his chest.

“I’m messing around,” he said. “Can I at least get a hug goodbye?”

“One hug,” I said.

I moved my hand and we closed in on each other.

A nice hug. A goodbye hug.

It lasted long enough, then we both broke away. Except there was an issue with this part of the hug. We both moved way too slow. Then we both looked at one another.

Fuck.

Henry made the first move, kissing me.

I reached up with my free hand and grabbed the back of his neck.

I was the one who thrust my tongue forward.

He accepted and returned the offering.

I felt a sharp zap in my head and I stepped away. I shook my head. I wiped my lips.

“Nope,” I said. “No. Can’t. Nope. I have to go.”

“Just saying goodbye,” he said.

“I hope you don’t kiss your teammates like that when you say goodbye,” I said.

Henry laughed.

That’s how I left him.

Standing alone in a hotel room, laughing at a stupid joke I made.

I wiped my lips three more times, refusing to let that kiss linger. But it was too late. That kiss and the feeling…

… it had already rushed down between my legs.

Fast Forward… Just About Ten Weeks…

“Can’t wait to see the final product,” Mr. Tomlinsen said with a smile on his face.

Next to him were his two sons - Bill Jr. and Daniel.

For weeks now, Mr. Tomlinsen had been selling me on the idea of dating Daniel.

I always kept a straight face and kept my answers honest.

I was not dating anyone nor was I interested in dating anyone right now.

Not after… well, never mind any of that.

I took a deep breath.

My stomach growled.
