“I have no issues with that and am open to any changes suggested by Enzo or Jordan. We should talk them out after, of course.”

They both look at me.

“Oh, wow. I thought I’d have more time to think about this.”

“Take your time,” Enzo says gently. “No one is rushing you.”

I take a mouthful of wine. I should have drank more or ate less.

“I’m still not sure how I feel about any of this. It isn’t about not enjoying it, because I did, but it’s more about what I’m comfortable with.”

“Which is where the changes in the contract would come into play,” Enzo says. “What would you be comfortable with?”

“I…” I shake my head. I have no idea.

“Would you be comfortable with the scenario that took place at the club?” Enzo suggests. “That sort of dynamic?”

“I think so. Yes.”

Enzo smiles. “I’m going to take a guess and say you won’t be comfortable being with Rafael alone or me being with him alone?”

I don’t answer that.

“I won’t be offended if you say yes,” Rafael explains. “I understand my view on relationships isn’t normal. I know most people aren’t okay with any of this. But Enzo is right about being honest.” He turns to face me more, and for the first time tonight, I get a good look at him, and damn, his eyes are so green. “The last thing I want is for you to not be honest here and me do something that upsets you. Something we could never come back from, or something that could ruin your marriage.”

I nod slowly. “Okay. Then yes, you’re right.”

“Is it safe to say one day it may change?” Enzo questions.

“I guess it could. Would you be okay with Rafael and I being together without you?”

He looks from me to Rafael, back to me.

“No.”

That makes me feel better, but not what I was expecting. Rafael doesn’t respond either way.

“Not right now, anyway, but that’s because things with us are new,” Enzo adds. “And though I trust and respect you, it’s time and comfort I need before I’m okay with that. But I’m confident in saying I’ll be okay with it one day.”

“So…” Rafael begins. “Contract renegotiation?”

“Or we could get rid of it and have a verbal contract,” Enzo suggests.

Rafael chuckles. “Nice try, but no.”

“Angel?”

“Hm?” I look up to see Enzo watching me carefully.

“How do you feel about watching Rafael and I together?”

“Uhm, I think that would be okay.”

“How about right now?”

My eyes widen. “Right now, as in…”

“Right now,” Enzo adds, his gaze darkening. “Do you have something better to do?”
