Gabe: Are you coming this weekend?
Ameline: No. Dad’s in town. (sighs with relief)
Gabe: Are you skipping my aunt’s class?
Ameline: Nope. Cee is taking me there. He’s staying tonight. We have some sort of family reunion. Even my sister is here.
Gabe: Good, I have the house to myself.
Ameline: Johnathan isn’t there?
Gabe: Nope. I got him tickets to a concert on the condition that he would stay away for the weekend. I don’t want another repeat of the last four weeks. I feel like we’re corrupting you.
Ameline: It’s been more educational than sex-ed at school. But I did ask my teacher and John was wrong.
Gabe: What did you ask your teacher?:raised-eyebrow: emoji
Ameline: Anal.
Gabe: I just spit my drink. Are you kidding me?

Gabe: Your teacher responded?
Ameline: After a long awkward pause. He was red, but said that if you don’t clean the area, it could possibly run down to your vagina and impregnate you.
Gabe: I don’t think he’s right.
Ameline: My theory is that he did it to scare everyone from having anal—or going bare. He even gave us condoms—two each.

Ameline: So, can a woman get pregnant from that?
Gabe: Doubtful. But I think you should tell this to John. It’ll serve to scare him.
Ameline: I can’t do that.
Gabe: Well, I’m just glad you won’t skip your class. When is the test?
Ameline: Next Wednesday. (bites nails)
Gabe: You’ll be fine.
Ameline: I’m not super smart like your cousins. I heard that you started college at sixteen. What the fuck?
