“More,” I groan.

I need him deeper. More. Fill me full. I push back into him and his dick slides deeper and deeper into my ass until he’s all the way in. We both hold, panting and gasping.

“You feel so good,” he groans.

“Yes,” I pant, pleasure threatening to overwhelm me completely.

He retreats as slow as he went in and fuck it feels so damn good. I adjust my arms and free one hand, reaching down to rub my clit. I’m so close that I won’t last long and I can’t imagine he will either.

“Yes,” he groans. “Touch my pussy. Rub it.”

I do as ordered and he thrusts in. A couple of gentle strokes then we find a rhythm together and speed up our pace. Everything feels so good I lose myself into the sensations, but riding herd over the pleasure and the joy is the one thing that matters even more.

Love.

“Dragoste!” he shouts as he thrusts and holds then I feel it.

He explodes in my ass, filling me with his seed, but I also fall into my own orgasm.

At last the spasms pass over and we’re cuddling together on the hard bed of our room. He wraps himself around me and we kiss and touch while we both drift in and out of sleep. I’m exhausted, but happy.

“I love you,” I murmur, half-awake.

“I love you, my dragoste,” he says.

As I drift to sleep, wrapped in his arms, I think of the others. Of the human girls still embedded with the Urr’ki but also of the Urr’ki themselves. We’ve rescued their Queen, but all that is right now is hope. More than they had for sure, but none of them even know it’s happened.

The solution to all of this is way beyond me, but I have done what I can for them.

“Tajss provides,” I whisper.

“Yes,” he murmurs sleepily. “Always.”

And I know, with certainty, that it’s true. Somehow, all of this will work out. I may not see the path myself, and maybe my part in that story is over. But our story, Dilacs and I, it will continue.

I drift to sleep and dream of the life we will build together and I am, for all that is wrong in the world, happy.

EPILOGUE

WRENLEE

“Wrenlee, can you tell us what you think about the current situation?”

I look up from my dinner forcing the smile into place. It’s so long practiced and well grooved in that I don’t even have to think about it. Two reporters, at least that’s what they consider themselves, stand on the opposite side of the table with tiny notepads in their hands.

Reporters for what or to what purpose, I don’t have an idea. The only way it makes sense to me is that it’s routine. Familiar. Every move we, humanity that is, has made there have been a few who consider themselves the ‘informers’ of the public. In that first city and even in the bunker they were hand publishing pamphlets with the latest news. I haven’t seen anything like it since we moved to live with the Cavern Zmaj but I also can’t say I’m surprised.

“What situation are you referring to?” I ask, keeping my smile carefully fixed in place.

The woman on the left widens her eyes in surprise as if I’m the idiot for not knowing what she’s talking about. The other one elbows her in the side and she schools her face back into neutrality.

“Of course she’s not aware of it,” the one who elbowed says softly, “we haven’t reported yet.”

“Ahem, of course,” the wide-eyed one says. “The Urr’ki who just joined us, they want to lead an assault on their own people.”

“They do?” I ask. “You’re sure about that?”

Because that is not what I heard, but I’m not going to say anything these two can use against me.
