“I don’t want to forget.” Before he can argue any more, I pull him back down into my lap and cover his lips with mine.

Long moments later, we hear a key in the lock. Raleigh is shifting his hips all over my lap and I pull back for some much-needed air.

Callahan closes the door behind her. When she sees Raleigh and me tangled up—no prizes for guessing what we’ve been up to—her smile is blinding and infectious.

“I guess you two talked things out,” she says, dropping her key on the table and toeing off her shoes.

“You might say that,” I say, grinning back at her. Raleigh tries to disentangle himself to stand up, but I tuck my hands behind his knees and pull him close to straddle me. The contact forces our erections together and he gasps. Callie glances around the room, then chooses a chair next to the couch.

“You’re too far away,” Raleigh says. I think he’s pouting. God, he’s adorable.

“I think we’d better talk before I come any closer,” says Callahan. She sounds so much like me I can’t do anything but smirk when Raleigh laughs.

“That’s pretty much what he said,” says Raleigh, patting my thigh under his hip. “You see how that’s working out.”

“Looks to me like it’s working just fine,” says Callie. They grin at each other.

“Works better now that you’re here,” says Raleigh, going quiet again. Callie’s chest rises and falls as she breathes a little faster.

“Yeah?”

“Yes,” I confirm.

“You’re just in time,” I say, hoping to move this part of the evening along so we can get to the rest of the touching. I have got plans for these two. But first things first. “Raleigh was just telling me he wants us to keep seeing each other. All of us.”

Callahan nods.

“You told her already?” I ask, rocking into Raleigh a little as punishment. “I should have known. That’s why she sent you up here first.” Raleigh moans, and it dawns on me that I’m going to have to rework my definition of punishment.

Oh, the possibilities.

“Guilty,” says Callahan. Her expression turns serious and she fidgets with the brass fixtures on the arm of the chair. “West.”

I know what’s coming. I’ve been bracing myself for this since she walked into the room. Hell, maybe since that night I kissed her on the deck, less than an hour before we walked to a bar and met Raleigh and changed everything.

I let Raleigh up this time so I can go to Callahan. Kneeling down in front of her, I take her hands and let her tip my chin up, meeting her eyes even though I suspect she can read me like a book right now.

“Finn’s not going to like this at all,” I say. Her lips tighten.

“I know,” she says.

“I don’t want to lie to him.”

“Neither do I.” She strokes her fingers over my brow, smoothing the frown there. “But until we know what we’re doing, maybe we’d be better off keeping this to ourselves.”

I nod, my heart in my throat. A part of me suspected Callie was prepared to end this, and I’ve barely touched her.

Yet.

The need for her yawns and rises, almost overtaking me. She’s trembling.

“I want more,” I tell her. I look over at Raleigh, because he’s part of this too. He nods, rubbing his fingertips over his swollen lips.

“Me, too,” whispers Callahan. “But what if—”

“What if the world ends tomorrow, Callie?” says Raleigh, coming to kneel at her other side. “What if we have to go back home and lock ourselves in for another month or six or forever?”

“Drama queen,” I mutter.
