It sends an involuntary spasm up my sore thighs. A warmth invades my core. But I don’t sink into thoughts of his steaming muscles and his hard ruthless cock.
Forcing myself to focus on the dread that’s been pushing me around all day, I do one last sweep of the already messy bathroom.
I’ve turned the place upside down, and there’s not enough time to clean everything back up before Ray finds his way in here.
He’s going to think I’ve gone mad.
And maybe I am going a little crazy. Losing your birth control pills is not what you want to wake up to the morning after losing your virginity.
Really, the only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that I won’t get pregnant. Not yet. Not from last night. Tucked away in the very back of one of the bathroom cupboards was a box of Plan B. It had been so long since I bought that little box—just as a safety measure—that I had forgotten all about it. Ray must have just thrown everything in my bathroom back home into a trash bag and then brought it over.
What a stroke of fucking luck. After reading the instructions, I’d done what needed to be done to keep my first time from turning into a complete nightmare.
Still, I knew that my time with Ray wasn’t done. Even through the panic, I found time to lust after him, to long for his return, for his touch, for his cock.
We’re stuck here together. He sleeps next to me. And he takes what he wants, when he wants it. Even if I had the willpower to resist him, if he really wanted to have me, there would be very little I could do to stop him.
And then where would I be? Without my pills, everything would be turned upside down.
A baby.
Fuck. Surely, Ray doesn’t want that. He’ll be on my side, right?
I’ve tried to convince myself that he will be, but then I remember how he reacted when he first found my secret little pills.
There was a hint of disgust in his playful interrogation. Like he wasn’t sure if I was really the girl he believed me to be.
Shit. I have no idea what to expect from that man. Especially after seeing the way he was last night, turned from dark joker into bloody beast.
Ray is wild, and I’m stuck inside a cage with him.
“There you are.”
His deep, bone-rattling voice nearly makes me jump out of my skin.
Looking over my shoulder, heat burning my cheeks, I take a quick glance at the giant standing in the bathroom doorway.
“I’m… I’m sorry,” I whisper, seeing the confused anger in his dark eyes as he surveys the mess I’ve created.
“What the hell happened in here?” he asks, stepping inside.
Immediately, I see signs of the beast again.
There’s blood all over his shirt. His hair is damp with sweat. Red cuts slash across his forearms. A primal glare fills his gaze.
“I.. I was just looking for something.”
“What were you looking for?”
“My birth control pills.”
I can’t tell if Ray’s lips twist into a dark smirk, or an angry sneer. But whatever that look is, it sends a black wave of dread washing over me.
He’s changed. Something is different.
All of a sudden, I’m scared.
“You didn’t need those pills anymore,” Ray says, blocking off the doorway with his broad shoulders. “So, I got rid of them for you.”
