“Being you.”
“And why did you want to kiss me?”
“Because you are you.”
He grins. “Cute.”
“I have my moments.”
“I’ve noticed.” His lips find mine again as he grabs my ass to push me closer toward him, letting me feel his erection. If we weren’t in public, I’d be ripping his clothes off by now, wanting to feel him against me.
“Are we headed straight to the gym, or can we go home first and get naked?” I ask.
“As much as I would love to take you back to mine and fuck your dick with my mouth, I need to make sure you have a full stomach before your first afternoon back at work.”
I raise a brow. “I mean, we could do both.”
He chuckles. “You are crazy.”
“You drive me there.”
“I will let you have your wicked way with me after.” He smacks my ass and pushes me off him. “But first, I feed you. I want waffles.”
“Pocahontas Pancakes?”
“There isn’t any other place I’d rather go.”

We end up being late for work anyway.
As always, the waffles were great, but the sexual tension between us had been off the chart, and when I’d thought we were heading to the gym, Wade diverted the car toward his place. I can’t even remember getting into the house. I just know that as soon as his door closed, his mouth had been on mine and my hands were undoing the belt to his pants as we fell to the couch. It had been hot and needy, and I’d fucking loved every minute of it.
“I just need you to sign these, and that should be it,” Mark says, handing me some paperwork. I’ve been ordered to ease myself back into work gently. I understand Mark’s concerns, but he has nothing to worry about. My head is in the game more than it ever was before. So much so that I’m itching to head downstairs and help some of our clients with their training. But my silent partner here has forbidden me from any form of physicality.
“Okay,” I reply, grabbing a pen and scribbling my signature along the dotted line.
“You never even read what they were for.” He chuckles.
“Do I need to?”
“Well, not really. It’s only the contract for the refreshment suppliers, but normally you scan your eyes over it and grumble something you’re not happy with.”
“Well, I trust you enough to not need to read it.” I push the papers back and rest back in my seat.
“Anything else I need to know about?”
“I don’t think so.”
“How’re Tia and Logan getting on? I kinda feel like I’ve let them go it alone.”
“You haven’t. They’ve had me and Wade to fall back on should they need anything. And they are fine. I’m very happy with them both and what they’ve brought to the gym.”
I nod, still feeling like I’ve let them down. “Maybe I should have been open with them about my addiction from the start.”
“Why? It’s no one’s business but your own. Everyone knows that personal life stops when they head into work.”
I huff out a chuckle. “Mine didn’t.”
