“Use me, Asher. For all your questions and their answers, for all your curiosities, for anything that has crossed your mind and everything you’ve wanted to do but were too afraid to explore. Kiss me, touch me, hold me, fuck me. Anything. Just use me. I’m right here. I always have been.”

Jesus, this man.

How does he always know the right things to say?

I don’t know which one of us moves first, but as our mouths crash and our tongues collide, I realize I am starving. Ravenous for the taste of a man who has consumed my thoughts and can make me cave—make me weak with a simple touch.

If this were a war, I would have lost the battle.

With each sweep of his tongue over mine, he takes every feeling I've ever uncounted, and every secret I’ve been afraid to share. He eases the catalogue of confusion that forever races my mind when it comes to him—when it’s come to looking at another man.

When he presses himself against me, desire surges through me, the chaos no longer there as he leads me down a path of nothing but peace and protection.

It’s the path I have been searching for yet never able to find.

Until him.

A feeling far greater than need covers my body from head to toe. It’s freedom. And as I dance my tongue with his, he draws me deeper into a world I should never have feared.

“You drive me fucking crazy, Asher,” he breathes. He grabs my wrists, pinning them above my head as he presses harder against me.

I am at a loss from my feelings. I’m both vulnerable and overwhelmed in the best possible way, and the more Wade-fucking-Johnson teases me, the more I want to scream at him to take me any way he wants.

I close my eyes and a low growl rumbles from my throat as my whole body burns with pleasure when I allow him to snake his hand underneath my shirt and rest his palm against my heart.

I embrace his touch, letting myself feel every second that his skin is on mine. But as quick as it’s there, it’s gone.

My eyes open when I feel him take a step back, confusion running through me as a look of uncertainty clouds Wade’s features.

“Wade?”

His fingertips brush with mine when I reach out to him.

“Is everything all right?”

“I should go.”

I frown. "What? I don't want you to go."

"But I don't know if I should stay either."

"Why?"

"Because..." His eyes drop to my lips. "I don't want to push you, Asher. I don’t want to be the reason you drink should I go too far."

"You won't."

"I was last time."

I understand his reasons and his concerns, but this is different. Last time I was running from everything, and now I’m running towards it all. I only want what I feel right now to continue as I’ve allowed myself to accept it.

I want this just as much as I know he does. Whatever the night brings, I want it.

"That was then. And this is different." I grab his jaw and pull him back to me. “This is so different.” I kiss him hard, telling him with my actions that I speak the truth as I lift his shirt to remove it.

My eyes land on that damn nipple piercing that’s haunted me for weeks, and a shrill excitement swirls my stomach. My mouth instantly responds to his exposed skin, drawing a path along his jaw and down his neck.

His hands are in my hair, tugging the more I descend, and when I twirl my tongue around the cool metal bar, the sound of my name that escapes his lips makes me ache with need.
