I straightened both their ties and took a step back to admire my handiwork. Even if I messed it up, my twins would still be just as dreamy and handsome. But their ties were as straight as my sexual orientation, as usual.
“Good luck at work,” I said, planting my lips on each of their cheeks, one at a time.
I looked behind me. Nathan and Ethan were circling Tyrone, clawing at his pants and asking him questions he couldn’t understand. Tyrone usually looked intimidating, but nobody could when they were surrounded by my two lovable kids. He was laughing while trying to get them in order. I was going to have to step in soon.
“We’ll see you when we get home,” Riley said, waving goodbye and stepping into his car. I couldn’t wait to see both of them again. We saw each other every day, but I hated every parting moment we had. Every single minute we spent with each other was a wonderful treasure.
I stood and watched as my two Adonises drove away. I turned on my heel and placed both my hands on my hi**ps. “Now, what are my two little devils up to?”
“Mommy!” They released their attention from Tyrone and darted to me. Seconds later, I was the one being as**saulted by my beautiful twin boys.
I looked at their shining green eyes, thinking about how happy I was.
They weren’t the easiest children to manage, but I wouldn’t have them any other way. To others, we were a strange family of five, but to me, we were wonderful.
Every day was filled with joy and laughter, and if that wasn’t perfect, I didn’t know what else could be.
