“I already did. You name one now.”
“I think it should be a Christmas name. How about Jingle or Ginger?”
“Either one is great,” Leo tells him.
“Ginger.”
“I love it,” I agree.
“How about you, Daddy?”
“Misty.”
“It’s perfect.”
“What’s wrong?” Daddy takes me in his arms, and I realize that I’ve been crying.
“Nothing’s wrong. I’m just so overwhelmed. Today was already the best Christmas ever, and now, there’s kittens. Real kittens!”
“I know it’s been a lot for one day. How about we wash our hands and finish breakfast before we go take a nap and watch more sappy Christmas movies?”
“Can we have cookies too?”
