Jack and Michael started the "J&M Enterprises" company 15 years ago. They are both in their late 40's and the company grew as their business started getting more and more popular. In 3 years they reached a total of 300 employees and in 7 years they reached a total of 1400 employees. Needless to say that this has brought billions into Jack and Michael's pockets.
With a life of luxury, they both seem bored and the hours spent at the office seem to pass slower and slower. They both share an office for a better communication between them.
Their headquarters was a tall building near Central Park, New York and their personal office was at the last floor, 33.
One day at the office, on a cold Monday morning, Jack decided that he wants to fire his personal secretary, Mrs. Garner, and hire a new, young secretary.
As soon as he took this decision, he posted a job offer online and headed to Mrs. Garner.
Hey Mrs. Garner.
What can I do for you Mr. J?
Well, I hope this doesn't come as too much of a shock to you but we're afraid we are going to let you go.
L..Let me go? But...What did I do? Why?
It's just that you have done so much for us in the past and we cannot offer you a raise so we thought about hiring somebody else. But do not worry, your paycheck will come until the end of the year and its February now. You will have a lot of time to plan for your next move.
Oh, okay I suppose..
It's settled then! You have until the end of this week and you will have an extra bonus for taking care of the interviewees, I left your desk number in the job application.
O..Okay...
Jack went back into the office and told Michael.
I fired her!
Who did you fire Jack?
Mrs. Garner, I fired her!
Why would you do that Jack? She was so efficient and she planned everything ahead. I hope you have considered into hiring somebody better at least.
Yes, I have considered that! I posted a job offer today, hopefully by tomorrow we will have our first interviewees and, with the salary I offered I think it's going to be packed in here.
Okay, but it's on you. You do the interviews since it's your doing.
Yeah sure! I didn't plan on asking you to help me anyway haha.
The next day, as Jack expected, the lobby was packed with people. 25 showed up for the interview. Jack was going to have a loooong day. Michael took the day off and relaxed at a private pool.
The first candidate walks in. A tall, blonde haired girl with black eyes. She sits and introduces herself.
Hello, my name is Melissa Berg, I am 25 years old, and here is my resume.
Jack, nice to meet you! Just allow me a couple of minutes to look through your resume.
No more than 2 minutes have passed and Jack put the resume aside.
Okay, Melissa Berg. You are hired.
Wow, are you sure? You didn't ask me anything..
Well I got all I need from your resume. You start on Monday, be here at 09:00 AM.
Thank you so much. I cannot believe that you would just hire me like that. It is such an honor to start working at this company, I have read much about it and I really like the atmosphere around the office.

Jack then called Mrs. Garner and told her to send everyone home as the position has been filled. Mrs. Garner followed the instructions and sent everyone home.
