“I’ve seen all the other Ladies come back and talk to you. Some of them have already talked to me. I know Lei Lu is pregnant and Nita wants to officially become a doctor. I’m not sure what this one has decided.” She threw her thumb across the aisle toward Tori.
Grace’s smile reached from ear to ear, and she bounced in the seat. “Griffin and I are already trying to have a baby. I just hope our little one is as cute as yours.”
Katlin grinned and reassured, “He, or she, will be absolutely adorable.”
Grace looked across the table at Alex then back to Katlin. “I had this idea and now it’s better than ever. You know my degree is in education. And this is going to work so well, especially in Washington, D.C. and Miami.” She clasped her hands on the table. “We need to build daycare centers and attach them to Guardian’s buildings. The kids could use the gym and floor space in the exercise room when it’s either too hot or raining outside. We could open it up to enrollment from ambassadors, the ridiculously wealthy, and anybody else who has children who are at risk of kidnap.”
Alex leaned forward with his elbows on the table. “This is a hell of an idea. Have you talked to Griffin about this?”
“Of course. We talk about everything.”
“You know that building right behind the Los Angeles Center is close to foreclosure.” Katlin leaned in. “I’ll bet if we offered the owner the right price, it could be ours. With all those Hollywood types, I’ll bet we would recoup our renovation costs within the first couple years.”
Grace bounced again. “I even have a name for the facilities, Guardian Angels.”
“I love that name,” Katlin admitted. She looked down at her son in her arms. “And you’re going to be one of the first children registered.”
“I need to go call Griffin.” Grace jumped out of her seat.
Katlin looked across the aisle at Tori. “So, how about you, Lady Falcon? Are you going to stay and work for me?”
“I don’t know yet.” She looked at Alex. “Alex, when you were training that bitch for her movie, did it pay well?”
“Insanely so. I’d be happy to recommend your services to several directors that I’ve met. You might also do well as a stunt double,” Alex suggested.
“I haven’t decided yet. I was talking to General Standish about perhaps going back to train new women entering the Joint All Female Special Operations School. She told me that they’ll be cycling through at least one class a year in Coronado at the BUD/S base.”
Katlin smiled. “If that’s where you go, I have the perfect house for you. You will absolutely love it. It’s right across the street from the beach.”
Alex looked at her questioningly.
“That’s where I lived after I left the wedding and for a month after having Ric.”
He reached his hand across the table and grabbed hers. “I want to see this house.”
“How about we honeymoon there?” Katlin suggested.

Later that Evening
All members of Black Swan Team One and Team Two were celebrating the wedding of Katlin and Alex and Ric’s baptism at the condo on Dupont Circle. Food covered the huge dining room table with an extensive bar set up at one end. Everyone had been eating and drinking for over an hour.
Katlin dinged her fork against her wineglass. Alex stepped up beside her and put his arm around her waist. “First of all, we’d like to thank all of you for joining us today for our wedding and baptism of Riccardo Michael Wolf.” Once the applause died down, she continued. “I want to extend a special thanks to my dear friend, Grace Mitchell, and my beloved brother, Daniel, for agreeing to be godmother and godfather to our son.”
Grace and Daniel came forward and hugged Katlin and Alex.
“I’m honored that you asked me,” Grace told them both.
“I love that you gave him Dad’s name in there.” Daniel gave his sister a second hug before returning to his wife’s side.
After more applause, Katlin stared at the five new faces standing together off to the side. “Ladies of Black Swan Team Two. You’re going to do great. I know because I’m your boss.”
She signaled for her team to step up with her. “For the last several years, the five of us have worked together and lived together right here in this condominium whenever we were in Washington.”
Katlin looked up and down the row of her former teammates. Each one nodded.
“Ladies, we want you to have this condo. It belongs to the Ladies of Black Swan. That’s now you.”
Katlin handed the keys to Kayla Scarlatto, the team’s leader, as all the women hugged each other.
The end.
