“It seems okay so far.” Jacob smiled as the pancake began to slowly puff up. Bubbles began to appear and he could even vaguely smell sugar filling the air.
Then the batter began to expand a bit further.
And then a bit more.
And then it began to pulsate.
“Uh…Teddy?” Jacob began but was interrupted when the pancake exploded all over the room. A thick gloopy mess blasting him in a bukkake moment.
“Oh my god! It tastes like blood? How the fuck does it taste like blood?!” Jacob gagged, trying to clear the foul muck from his word hole.
“More for me!” Teddy bounced as he took up a small dab of it- and immediately threw it back up. “Or maybe not.”
“Note to self. Brewcasting does not work on food.” Jacob grumbled.
“Yeah…maybe stick to a smoothie today.”

Flat White.
With some semblance of breakfast in his system, Jacob and Teddy made their way through their morning without issue. Jacob had errands to run and contemplated doing most of them. Instead, the only meaningful thing he got done was getting himself to his biweekly haircut appointment with Tic.
“So what are we doing with your hair now?” Tic asked as he twirled
Jacob’s hair between his fingers.
“I don’t know. I want it shorter. But not too short. I want it to be
balanced, but I don’t want it to go out of control.”
“So…the exact same as last time?” Tic pursed his lips.
“If you don’t mind.” Jacob responded.
“You know you really don’t need my help with this if all you’re going
to do is get me to shave the sides of your head every other week.” “But you’re so good at it. Look, apart from trivia this is pretty much the
only time we get together. I cherish that.” Jacob responded.
“I came in early for you.” Tic shook his head.
“I will tip you generously.”
“You always do.” Tic chuckled and with a sigh he got to work. He pulled
out his clippers and began to cut when Jacob realized he was humming. “Sorry. Not sure what came over me there.” Jacob blushed. “You seem in good spirits today.” Tic chuckled.
“Is that a question?” Jacob asked as Tic brought his head forward to
twiddle his ears.
“An observation is all.” Tic responded. “Something strange going on?” “I had to work late last night.” Jacob laughed. Tic looked at him
confused.
“And that’s a good thing? I thought you hated it there.”
