hands to show off the theatre. Jacob hadn’t known exactly what to expect,

but this certainly wasn’t it.

“Oh!” He responded. “I…I didn’t even know that was a thing!” “This theatre does it every month. They display the next movie in the

series, and the good news is they just finished the last one, sothis is the

first one! They’ve gone all the way back to the beginning!”

“Oh.” Jacob whispered. “Oh no…”

“What was that?”

“I didn’t even know! I mean…wow! This is something! This is…This

is the oldest one?” Jacob could feel himself filling with dread. “The first one. It’s fine. They mostly knew what they were doing. Sure

it’s a little rough around the edges but they really go all out for this one!”

He looked at Jacob excited. “I mean, it’s a bit weird and out there, but it’s fun! This is one of my favorite things! I normally don’t tell people this…I’ve actually never really been on a date like this before. But I feel like I can share anything with you and you won’t judge me for it. It feels so good to

just be myself and be accepted, you know?”

“Anything?” He asked, looking up. “Even this?”

“Of course.” Joe exclaimed. “I love you. I’ll share anything with you.”

Jacob passed out.

The words hung there in the air like a fart that wouldn’t waft away.

They somehow seemed to imprint themselves instantly on his brain. “I

mean, who knew I could feel this way?”

“Certainly not me!” Jacob exclaimed. “Love! So soon! I mean…wow!” “I guess, when it’s right, it’s just right.” Joe responded. “I mean I’ve

felt things like this before but I never knew it could happen to me. You just

make me feel…Amazing…”

“Well here it is! Certainly happening! A lot is happening actually.I’m

dizzy. I’m just going to-” Jacob responded. He could feel the blood leaving

his body.

“You need to sit?”

“Yes please. I just need air.” Jacob said quickly. “Look, can you go in

and get me some air? Or water? I just need-”

“Yes. Of course. You wait right here.” Joe said as he whisked himself

into the theatre leaving a very bewildered Jacob on his own. Jacob looked

to see Teddy staring at him with his wide bird eyes. Teddy looked smug. “When did you wake up?” Jacob whispered.
