"You know,” I said. “It’d be easier for me to study and really become a devoted mage if I’m close to my teacher."
Orion raised an eyebrow. "Somehow I doubt you’ll stray very far."
"Hey, it’s not straying, you’ll be there too! "
"Do youwantto work here?" he asked.
"Yes. No. Yes and no. I guess starting over there ain’t so bad.” The leader of another den extended a job offer first. “It’s kinda cool that you didn’t order her or bribe her and she hired me anyway… You didn’t give her a bribe, right?"
"No need.” Orion looked proud. “You secured the invitation for yourself."
Cool… “How the hell did I do that?”
"Rob, we warded all the other clubs and prevented more people from becoming Lex’s victims. She offered you a job first because she has the best relationship with me, though I’m sure a few others would be happy to have you too. They’re all very impressed and grateful to you."
His quiet yet insistent pride in me was still hard to handle, so I found my own take away in his sum up of our accomplishments.
"So I should ask for a raise, that’s what you’re saying?"
"You haven’t even started yet."
"Start working, then ask for a raise?"
"Something like that.”
I stepped around the counter, pressing myself close. "And what about you, can I get araisefrom you?"
"You can get whatever you want from me." He delivered a heated kiss with his promise.
"Ohhh, those are such dangerous words to give a guy like me."
"I trust you."
"Shit,” I groaned. “That’s so hot."
Galileo was the only sex demon club I hadn’t visited as part of our investigation when Lex was active. I’d been inside but not when the place was actually open. Tonight would be the first time. Orion prepared something special for the experience tonight, but he wasn’t telling me the details. He wanted it to be a surprise.
Given that he looked like him and had stupid amounts of money and literal sex powers, he really did not need to do much to impress me. Plus, I was already crazy about him. But it was kinda nice, being worth impressing.
I decided we should go make use of his private room before the place opened. Just as I grabbed his ass and pressed my lower half into him, he pulled away. "We were having atendermoment, why is it always sex with you?"
"Says the incubus!"
"Apparently even incubuses need more than just sex."
He was saying such nice things with such a sexy face, of course I got hard. We needed to go have some fun in his private room right away. But he also needed to know I wanted more than just his incredible, incredible body.
