“It hasn’t yet and in all honesty from what the goddess has said to Sage in her visions it doesn’t look like it will soon.” Levi chuckles.

“At least you’re not going to get bored!” I say and thankfully he grins.

I am slightly worried that what we deal with regularly and the fact that it never seems to slow the fuck down, might be too much for him and put him off. He needs to be prepared for it though, so I’m not going to start down playing the hectic nature of our lives. Especially since if he really is one of Cole’s Bonded he’s going to carry on being involved and his life isn’t going to be any less hectic.

I’m glad he responded to my comment with a grin though and it fills me with hope that it will work out for him and Cole. It also makes me hopeful that his reaction to finding out that him, his team and his Centre are all part of the Warrior Bond, will be positive.

A slight stiffness in my shoulder distracts me from my thoughts and I roll it forward trying to relieve some of the tension. It’s kind of hard to believe that it had a hole straight through it less than twenty minutes ago. I get the feeling that the kiss between me, Kai and Jax did more than just distract me, I think it helped heal me too. Now that Kai and Jax seem to gradually be admitting to themselves at least, that they feel something for each other they seem far more comfortable with making out with me at the same time.

Not that they really minded before but now it’s like a barrier has dropped between them or at least is starting to.

That make out session was hot as fuck and I’m sure as hell going to bereplaying that regularly. Hopefully recreating it without magic stopping us or the need for a distraction because of an excruciating injury soon as well.

“I hope we hear something about your parents in the next town.” Levi starts, “I really thought we would’ve heard something by now but we’re just as clueless as we were when we first arrived.”

“I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything.” Kysen agrees, “The villages and towns are normally running rampant with gossip.”

“Whoever has abducted them must have been incredibly careful about not being seen.” Jax says. “Is it possible that magic is involved?”

“I suppose if you had the right spell then theoretically you could make someone invisible but there’s constraints to it that would be hard to follow if the participants were unwilling. Like they’d all have to be touching or keep quiet, things like that. Plus they are ridiculously expensive.” Kysen answers thoughtfully.

“Good to know.” Jax muses his mind clearing mulling it over.

“How many days ride is it until we get to the academy?” Maverick asks suddenly out of the blue. His mind has obviously taken him somewhere that we can’t follow.

“Erm around three days maybe. That’s riding without breaks, not picking up supplies and assuming we get no other delays like being bitten or attacked.” Kysen replies.

“All I’m thinking is that maybe we aren’t supposed to find them whilst travelling to the academy.”

“If that was the case though why were we redirected here?” Hunter asks.

“I don’t know. It could have been just so that we met Kysen?” Maverick suggests.

“I don’t think we’re going to know for sure why the portal was changed to bring us here unless the person who did it tells us.” Levi adds. “We still need to make sure that we listen carefully in the next town just in case. I can’t help but feel like there’s more to this.”

“Agreed.” Maverick replies.

“Isn’t there always?” I smirk and they grin back.

“Too true, Beautiful.” Kai grins.

Whilst the conversation turns back to lighter topics I take a second to really look around. Everything has happened so quickly and I haven’t really taken a moment to just breathe and think about it all. I look around at my men, my connection with them is growing stronger every day and although it doesn’t terrify me like it used to it does still make me a little nervous.

I still can’t believe how lucky I am that they turned up at school when they did. My life would be so incredibly different if they hadn’t or even if I had wimped out and not taken a chance on them.

I allow my eyes to greedily take them in, I don’t think I’ll ever get boredof just looking at them especially as they are now with their human glamours dropped and in all of their supernatural glory. I hope like hell that we can control our gifts soon though, a girls got needs and I want my men any fucking way I can have them. I shift in my seat as my thoughts take me down a seriously dirty and delicious route. I drag myself away from my thoughts of how commanding I imagine Levi to be and how well Jax and Kai work together. My mind goes through all of them imagining how they’d be and what delicious things we could get up to, one on one or all together.

I squeak as I’m suddenly lifted from my saddle and end up straddling Hunter. He does it so smoothly and with so little effort that I’m momentarily speechless. He lets the reins of his horse drop so that they rest against its neck and then wraps both of his large arms around me. I tilt my head up questioningly. Don’t get me wrong I am very happy to be here but I am wondering why I was suddenly plucked off of Dave.

Hunter smirks dipping his head and kissing up the side of my neck, I tilt my head to give him better access to my neck, a growl rumbles in his chest the vibrations running through my body, I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer my hands delving into his long hair. His lips move slowly up my neck, when they get closer to my ear I can feel him smirk against my neck.

“You were projecting your thoughts down the Bond lines, Sweetheart.” He mutters sounding turned on and amused at the same time. “I got to you first.”

I pull back from as my eyes widen and my cheeks pink with embarrassment.

“Fuck.” I mutter and I’m reward by laughter from my men although there’s a definite under current of heat in the air.

“Yep Beautiful that’s what we were doing.” Kai chuckles and I shoot him a warning look unable to completely hide my smile though.
