“You won’t need to be in the background. There’s going to be seismic levels of disturbances in the force that everyone in a five-hundred-mile radius will feel. Frankly, after how she’s been with me my whole life, I can’t bring myself to care much. Oh, is that why I only used to get to see Grandma at Dad’s house?”

“Yep, your dad had no problems with her or her wanting a relationship with you. Linda cut off everyone who supported you and who she saw as in the way of her goal.”

“Yep and now she’s got her money, and she’s still not happy. I don’t think she’ll ever be happy. Thank God Logan and I turned out okay. Oh! So no wonder your favorite dessert is one of Grandma’s recipes. It all makes sense.”

“Yep, though I would’ve never admitted this to her face when she was alive, darlin’, you make it better than she did.”

The smile that lights up Jane’s face shows just how much that means to her. Somehow that leads to a discussion on everyone’s favorite dessert and cake flavors.

Looking back over at our woman, I see a little grin creep up on her face. What’s she thinking, the little minx? The more I get to know her, the more I want to be around her. She reminds me to not be so serious all the time, but also listens when I need to talk things out.

“There aren’t many flavors I don’t like, besides pumpkin. That I’ll never bake or eat.” Looking directly at me and grinning, Jane adds, “But to be honest, lately, I’ve been really craving some good quality chocolate.”

Oh that woman plays a dirty, dirty game. Well, now she’s gone and done it.

Getting up, I walk around the fire to where she sits in between my brothers. Reaching out for her hand. She puts her hand in mine, though giving me a questioning look. Leading her away from the fire for a second, I then turn to the group still left around the fire.

“’Night all, we’re off to bed.” Before Jane can question me, I bend down and lift her up over my shoulder and head toward my room in the clubhouse.

“Put me down! I’m too heavy! Jon!”

I smack her ass and keep my hand there.

“Babygirl, we’ve been through this, and you ain’t too heavy.”

“Fine, but please let me down. Things are starting to spin.”

Setting her down, I make sure she’s on her feet before I let go.

“You okay, babygirl?”

“Yeah, the world’s stopped spinning.” She looks up at me and I take the opportunity to give her a kiss.

“Let’s get you into my room, babygirl.”

I grab her hand and we head straight to my room. After I unlock the door, I open it and let her in, watching her take in the room. It’s nothing special, but has a king-sized bed, television, dresser and closet. It also has an attached bath. Pa was smart when he built the clubhouse, he made almost all the rooms have their own bathrooms and he made the president’s room big enough for a king size bed since he’s so tall.

Pointing out the bathroom to Jane, I kiss her head.

“Why don’t you get ready for bed, babygirl? I’m gonna go get us a couple bottles of water. When I get back, I want you ready and waiting for me on the bed.”

Hearing her breath of surprise, she surprises me.

“I’ve never had drunken sex before.” Unable to stop the growl from coming out, I remind her to go get ready and I leave her to go grab some bottled waters and aspirin, ’cause with the amount of alcohol she consumed tonight, our woman is going to be hurting in the morning. However, that doesn’t mean things are done for the night. She can’t leave me with that admission and not think I’m going to change that.

I grab the waters and the aspirin and head back to my room.

“Hey J,” Ror calls out. Looking over at him, I see Juan is right behind him.

“What’s going on?” They both hold up their phones.

“We both just got texts from Jane. They don’t make sense, but the only words that are actually words are want, three, now.” Ror shows me the text.

“You think she wants us all tonight? You think she’s with it enough to make that decision?”

Juan looks from me to Ror and rolls his eyes at us.

“Your room is right there. Let’s just go ask her to see what she meant.”
