“He makes me swoon,” Loki purred with a wink.
Her giggles returned and she patted him on the arm. “Iknewhe had to swing for the other side. Him and Dana were so cute together, but he had more googly eyes for the boys instead of the girls.”
“Really?” He leaned back into his booth and crossed his arms.
His stare was a knife in the chest, sharp and dangerous and jealous, and I thought about all the things he’d done to actual bikers who showed interest in me. I couldn’t imagine how he’d react around Dana, who’d taken my virginity. Hell, back then, I didn’t know how interested in guys I was and the sex with Dana had been awkward, to say at least. I also had no idea if she even still lived in Wittstock.
“She was his girlfriend?” His stare stayed on me even though the question was aimed at Marion.
“Mm-hm.” She nodded and glanced toward someone calling her name. “I’ll be back with your meals shortly. Jalen’s made them his priority.”
Then she was off, leaving me in the storm that was Loki’s possessiveness. My dick thrummed in excitement. When Loki’s jealousy awoke, his claws came out to play. They made artwork of my back, and every scratch and mark he left on my skin ached for days, reminding me every minute of the day how much he craved me and my dick.
“Tell me about her,” he whispered dangerously. “Do I need to get my grenades?”
“Did you bring them with you?” I asked, already knowing the answer.
“That’s a stupid question.” Loki laughed, but there was no real humor in the sound. He was bloodthirsty, and I needed to speak quickly if I wanted to save Dana’s life.
“She was my girlfriend when I was a teenager, Loki. You know I’ve had others. I didn’t realized back then I liked guys.” I shrugged and grabbed my drink, the condensation cold against my heated skin. As tempting as it was to take Loki into the bathroom and fuck him to show how much I really wanted him andonlyhim, this wasn’t the place to do it. Not in Wittstock. “So yeah, I had sex with her. She was my first. It was awkward and took me closing my eyes and focusing on the tightness to get me hard. I had to pretend it wasn’t her.”
“Did you think about Jalen?” He nudged his head in the direction of the kitchen, where there was a clatter of dishes behind the open window.
“Not at first.” I licked my lips and locked my gaze on his gorgeous face, all soft with pale skin and delicious light pink lips that looked fantastic wrapped around my hard dick. “I think maybe the third or fourth time I did. It’s what made me realize I preferred guys. I was going to talk to her about it, admit that we couldn’t be together when….” I trailed off. Whenthathappened. The accident.
“When what?” he asked, the anger seeping out of him and leaving behind his sweet, caring side again. “What happened?”
I shook my head and sighed in relief when Marion was back, dropping off the food. She put plates in front of us and smiled before she was off again.
“Eat up. You won’t regret it.” I grabbed the fork, gathered as much hash as I could on it, and shoved it into my mouth. The explosions of tastes slammed into my tongue and I moaned. Not even Loki’s hard gaze could distract me from the delicious food. No one could cook like Jalen.
Loki exhaled and grabbed his utensils, taking a bite of food. He paused, and I watched him with a smirk as an array of expressions flashed across his face, the end result pleasure as he chewed and swallowed. “That’s… something else.”
“That’s Jalen,” I said with a chuckle.
“Good looking, gay, and a cook. I might have to let you go and give him a shot.” His mouth twisted wickedly as his eyes slid in the direction of the kitchen. “It’s obvious he likes cock. I saw him checking us out.”
To my surprise, jealousy was a quick and violent streak of heat through me, and I dropped my fork, letting it clatter to the table. Loki’s gaze jerked back to me when I closed my hands into fists as images of Loki with that hang around came to the forefront of my mind again. “Don’t make me kill my friend, Loki. You’re mine. That hole… is mine.”
His pupils grew wide and he licked his lips slowly. “Sucha romantic,” he purred seriously.
I wasn’t sure you could call possessiveness and jealousy romantic. What Loki and I had was fucked up to begin with. But I’d also kept parts of myself hidden away, buried deep inside me—pleasures that even Loki didn’t know about. For years, I’d pondered what turned me on, played with the idea while it was my hand on my dick, but I’d never explored it with anyone else. Until last night. I’d said stuff I shouldn’t have and demanded a night to explore those desires. Loki had agreed. Now I was doing something dangerous—risking my relationship with Loki by thinking about all the things I wanted to do with him.
We ate, and I gave him some stories about my childhood. He asked innocent questions about where I went to school and my family, and I answered as much as I could.
“I have two older brothers, one younger one, and a younger sister.” I finished off the last bite of hash and pushed my plate away. Grabbing the glass of soda, I took a large gulp to wash down the food. “My dad was in the army for a long time. I don’t even know if he’s retired. Or maybe he’s still in the army. He never liked the idea of retiring.”
“What are their names?” he asked quietly.
I licked the taste of the hash and eggs off my lips and sighed. “Crispin, Trent, Bennett, and Selena.”
“Will we meet them?” He brushed his blond waves out of his face and smiled.
“A couple of them, maybe. I’ve been keeping tabs as much as I can. Selena got married to a banker. They moved to New York City a few years back. They had a little girl. Trent’s married, too, and they live in Seattle, so not far. He might be here, though. He knew Daniel, the guy who… hung himself.” I sighed and pressed my fingers into my temple. “Crispin and Bennett still live around here.”
He nodded and took a drink of his soda, some of it sloshing down his chin. He groaned, but I grabbed a napkin and reached over to wipe it over his face.
The bell above the diner door tinkled like it’d been doing ever since we arrived, but this time it was different. The harsh, familiar voice had me freezing, terror and pain socking me in the gut. “Well, well, well. I’d heard you were back in town, but I didn’t expect you to be batting for the otherteam.”
