It felt like being caught in a lightning storm, with strikes happening all around me. My entire body was charged into one electrical current that ended at the tip of my cock.
I’d never wanted to fuck a woman as much as I wanted to fuck Katie Hill.
Katie and I weren’t talking. Each breath she took was loud and labored, and I knew this hike was a bit more than she’d expected.
Up ahead, I could hear the rest of the group chatting and laughing.
The distance between us and them was steadily growing, and I couldn’t see them anymore, even though I still heard their voices.
“Hold up, hon,” I told her as I touched her arm. “Let’s take a break.”
Jameson was jogging down the trail towards us, and I wanted to use the moment to let Katie catch her breath.
When he got to us, he pulled me aside.
“The group’s ready to move past the warm-up stage, Boone.”
He gave me a silent look that I interpreted perfectly well.
Katie was holding up the tour, and he wanted to know if I’d take responsibility for her so everyone else could keep going forward on track with his schedule. Jamesonlivedby his schedule.
“Yup, we’ll meet up with you at camp.”
Jameson gave me a subtle head nod. “You got your phone, right?”
“Yup.” I tapped my pack. We both carried satellite phones on these hikes. You never knew when an accident could happen.
A bear had invaded our camp on the last hiking trip, and we’d had to call the park rangers to let them know about the incident. The bear had left after some encouragement from me and Jameson shooting in the air, but the tourists had been freaked out.
Jameson gave one last look at Katie, then jogged back up the trail.
“What was that all about?” she asked.
How to say this gently?
“We’ve got some advanced hikers on the tour this time. They’re going to go on ahead. You and I might take a little longer to make it to the camp tonight, but we’ll get there.”
She bit her lip. “I’m holding everybody up.”
“Naw. You’re just moving at your own pace. We got this.”
Chapter 4
Katie
Everything about this trip was harder than I’d expected it to be.
Somehow, my two daily miles on a treadmill were nothing compared to this. I think it had something to do with the elevation. Nowhere in the Ozarks was a flat, level grade. You were either going up or you were going down.
Plus, I didn’t know so many rocks could exist in one place! I’d spent the whole hike so far with my eyes trained on the ground, carefully placing my feet. The rocks and the light dusting of snow made everything feel more treacherous.
So much for enjoying the scenery.
But Ididhave Boone all to myself. And I secretly relished that.
My friends would never imagine me taking a snow hike with a Sexy Santa mountain man.
“How much further to the lodge?” I asked after we’d been hiking for hours. The sun was far to the west now, and there couldn’t be too much daylight time left.
