Where is she?
I drop my cigarette and run towards her voice. I turn the corner, she’s standing at the back door, and the fucker John is holding her arm.
“I can take you home. Why do you have to push me away? I told you that you’d regret not giving me a chance. I can’t believe that you’re still with that loser,” John hisses, pulling her closer to him.
“Let her go,” I yell, running to them.
Everything happens so quickly; my heart skips a beat, and I watch her ramp her knee into his junk. She then throws back her arm, fists her hand, and hits the fucker in the face.
“Bitch,” John yells out as his head snaps back.
I grab Halo and pull her away from the fucker.
“Motherfucker, you’re going to die,” I hiss, pushing her behind me.
“It’s you! I should call the cops to have them take you away, you damn dirty biker. You’re a fucking criminal. I don’t know how you have Halo with you unless you’re abusing her. Halo, you don’t need to be afraid of leaving the bastard,” John yells, looking at her.
“Fuck you, John! You’re damn crazy, don’t ever touch me again, and stay out of my life,” Halo hisses.
The back door opens, and a woman stands there looking at us.
“Is there a problem,” the woman asks.
“No, no. It’s all good. I’m leaving Susie. I’ll see you tomorrow,” Halo says, taking my hand.
“Okay, have a good night,” Susie says, closing the door.
The mother fucker John stands there, looking at us. I don’t like him, and he needs a fucking whooping, or I might just kill him.
“Why didn’t you tell me that he’s working here,” I ask, stopping at my bike.
“I didn’t want you to hurt the asshat. He’s so damn crazy. I don’t know, maybe I should put a restraining order, but he works her and I don’t want any problems. I think that he’s all talk,” Halo says, shaking her head.
“I’m going to have Spy get me all of his information,” I say, grinding my molars.
I’m so fucking pissed off. I want to go back and kill the fucker. I know that I will eventually because he’s been a pain for far too long.
I cup Halo’s face and kiss her softly.
“Okay, Baby, let’s go home.”
“Yes, because I’m not feeling well,” Halo says, holding onto me tight.
“Are you able to hold on?”
“Yes, I’m going to be okay,” Halo says, moving her head up and down.
“Okay, let’s go.”
I get the helmet, slide it on her, and clasp it. I get on, pull on my helmet, and turn on the bike. Halo slides onto the bike at my back and wraps her arms around me.
I’m a little worried, and I pray that she’s okay.
I walk into the IT room and look around at the newly updated computer systems. I can’t help but be proud of our work.
“Spy,” I say, turning to look at him.
“Demon, what’s up,” Spy hums, leaning back into his chair.
